    摘要： A plastic-made cap for a vial having a lip, said cap being useful as a separation-preventing cap for a plug that seals up an opening of the vial, includes a top wall portion having an outer circumference and centrally defining an opening, and a cylindrical skirt portion extending downwardly from the outer circumference of the top wall portion and being open at its lower end. The skirt portion has an inner diameter (a) greater than an outer diameter (b) of the lip of the vial. The skirt portion is provided on its inner wall with plural ribs formed in a direction perpendicular to the top wall portion. The plural ribs are arranged in pairs at equal angular intervals between the respective pairs of ribs. Further, engagement claws are arranged between the respective pairs of ribs such that the engagement claws can be brought into engagement with an underside of the lip of the vial.

A vertical edge continuity detector calculates difference values between an object pixel and pixels above or below the object pixel in an inlaid picture, and detects whether or not there is horizontal continuity of an inter-field vertical edge on the basis of judgment whether or not the signs of the difference values are the same continuously over not less than a predetermined number of pixels, in the horizontal direction, including the object pixel. When it is detected that there is no motion between frames, and it is detected that there is horizontal continuity of the inter-field vertical edge, it is judged that a picture is in a completely still state.

A reference pattern generater generates a plurality of reference patterns. An angle detector compares the binary pattern with each of the plurality of reference patterns, and outputs the angle of a matched reference pattern as angle information. An arc shape detector outputs the edge angle information of a picture based on a combination of the angle information of an interpolation scanning line including an object interpolation pixel and the angle information of interpolation scanning lines above and below the interpolation scanning line.

An oblique difference absolute value operation part calculates the absolute value of the difference between the values of the pixels obliquely located with respect to the interpolated pixel on the basis of the oblique edge angle signal, and outputs the result of calculation as an oblique difference absolute value. A mixing part outputs the vertical interpolated value, the oblique average or a mixed value thereof as an interpolated pixel value on the basis of the oblique difference absolute value.

The stable driving of a plasma display panel may be assured and display in the 256 grey-level may be maintained although vertical synchronizing frequency of the input video signal changes. A vertical synchronizing measurement unit measures the vertical synchronizing frequency of the video signal, and a subfield number adjustment unit adjusts the number of subfields in accordance with a measured vertical synchronizing frequency. The stable driving of the plasma display panel and display in grey levels may be assured by selecting a ROM table with an output bit width equivalent to the number of subfields to be output from multiple ROM tables used for converting the number of bits in the input signal.
