摘要： A power transmission apparatus for use with a four-wheel drive vehicle, which distributes a driving force output from a transmission coupled to a transverse layout engine to the front and rear wheels, through a transfer disposed on the rear side of the engine. The transfer includes a pair of direction-changing gears for changing a transmission direction of a driving force, first and second gears for displacing in parallel the center axis of a pinion shaft whose direction is changed by the direction-changing gears, and an output shaft, rotatably inserted through the second gear, for transmitting a driving force to the rear wheels. In the transfer, an electromagnetic clutch for coupling the second gear to the output shaft in a decoupling manner is disposed at a position closer to the engine than the second gear and on the center axis of the second gear.

摘要： A torque converter comprises an impeller shell, a pump impeller integrally formed with the impeller shell, a turbine runner, a stator, a front cover, and at least one of a flanged portion through which a driving power of an engine is transmitted and a ring gear for a starter. The flanged portion is formed on an outer peripheral portion of an outer hull that includes the impeller shell and the front cover. A pilot boss portion is disposed at an axial portion of the front cover and is adapted to be fitted to a crank shaft of the engine, and a sleeve-like oil pump driving shaft is disposed at an axial portion of the impeller shell and is adapted to drive an oil pump. The pilot boss portion is formed integrally with the front cover through a plastic working operation, and the flanged portion formed at a front portion of the outer periphery of the front cover is increased in thickness through a plastic working operation that forms the flanged portion as a lamination.

One embodiment of the method comprises driving control gates capacitively coupled with the borders of the active regions with impurity regions and electrically isolated from the word lines to electrically divide the physical memory cell array into n number of memory cell arrays, and driving the impurity regions and word lines in the same memory cell array to operate in parallel the plurality of memory cells connected to the same word line out of the cell columns.

摘要： A process for making an elastically stretchable composite sheet having a relatively low basis weight. An elastically stretchable second web is placed upon a first web comprising stretchable first continuous fibers and these first and second webs are intermittently bonded together at first bond regions to obtained a first composite web which is, in turn, stretched under a plastic deformation of the first continuous fibers and then elastically contracted. Thereafter, the first and second webs are supplementarily bonded together at second bond regions to obtain a second composite web as the elastically stretchable composite sheet.

摘要： An image fixing apparatus includes such an image fixing roller for thermally fixing images on an image receiving material that includes (a) a core roller member; and (b) an exothermic phase transition layer provided on the core roller member. The exothermic phase transition layer includes an exothermic phase transition material capable of performing reversible phase transition from an amorphous state to a crystalline state and vice versa, and crystallizing at a crystallization temperature which is lower than a predetermined image fixing temperature, with liberation of crystallization heat therefrom, and the exothermic phase transition material having a melting point higher than the image fixing temperature, thereby additionally increasing the temperature elevation rate before the temperature of the outer peripheral surface of the image fixing roller reaches the image fixing temperature to shorten the warm up time of the image fixing roller.
