摘要： A data processing apparatus has a first processing unit for processing an input data, a second processing unit responsive to the data processed by the first processing unit for executing a processing dependent on the data and producing a display data, and a display unit having a display drive unit and a display device for displaying the display data. The second processing unit is selectively inactivated and activated under control of the first processing unit to reduce power consumption in the second processing unit. The display drive unit is also selectively inactivated and activated under control of the first processing unit to reduce power consumption in the display unit. The display device has a memory function that maintains its display image even when supply of a display drive signal from the display drive unit is stopped, so that a latest image before inactivation of the second processing unit and/or the display drive unit for power consumption reduction is visible by an operator during the inactivated and low power consumption state of the apparatus.

摘要： To provide a method for recovering carbon dioxide, in which thermal energy for regenerating a CO2 absorbing solution and power for compressing the recovered CO2 are supplied, and high thermal efficiency is achieved, and a system therefor. A system for recovering carbon dioxide including a high pressure turbine 3, an intermediate pressure turbine 7, and a low pressure turbine 8; a boiler 1 for generating steam for driving the turbines; an absorption tower 18 filled with a CO2 absorbing solution for absorbing and removing CO2 from combustion exhaust gas of the boiler; a regeneration tower 24 for regenerating the absorbing solution having absorbed CO2; a compressor 42 for compressing the removed CO2; a turbine 41 for a compressor, which is driven by some of the exhaust steam of the high pressure turbine; turbines 51 and 52 for auxiliary machinery, which are driven by some of the exhaust steam of the intermediate pressure turbine; and supply pipes 45 and 55 for supplying exhaust steam of the compressor turbine and the auxiliary machinery turbines to a reboiler 30 of the regeneration tower as a heating source.

摘要： An (S)-1-phenyl-2-substituted propane derivative shown by the following formula (I) wherein R1 and R2 represent a lower alkyl group, etc., or R1 and R2 may form together an alkylene group, etc.; R3, R4 and R5 represent a hydrogen atom, etc.; and X represents a hydroxyl group which may be protected with a protective group, or a halogen atom etc., can readily be produced (i) by permitting a microorganism belonging to the genus Torulaspora, the genus Candida, the genus Pichia or the like to act on a phenylacetone derivative and asymmetrically reducing the compound, or (ii) by sterically inverting an (R)-enantiomer. (R,R)-1-phenyl-2-[(2-phenyl-1-methylethyl)amino]ethanol derivative having a high optical purity can easily be obtained from the compound of the formula (I). The ethanol derivative is useful as an anti-obesity agent and the like.

摘要： An explosion preventing device for a refrigerating machine using a flammable refrigerant according to a first embodiment of the present invention comprises a mesh member which covers a part or component or a control section. The mesh member has a mesh size which is equal to or smaller than a quenching distance for the flammable refrigerant used. By covering the part or the like which may generate electric sparks, with the mesh member having the mesh size equal to or smaller than a quenching distance, as described above, even if the sparks are generated to produce flames, when the refrigerant is leaked, the flames cannot be propagated to the outside of the mesh member. Therefore, even if the sparks are generated when the refrigerant is leaked, a serious explosion or fire cannot be caused.

In stead of the dryer, an additive which reacts with water may be included in said refrigerating machine oil. With this arrangement, the amount of the refrigerant can be reduced, and the long term reliability of the apparatus can be obtained.
