Abstract:
The invention relates to an infrared radiation absorption device, which can be unrestrictedly produced from CMOS technology methods and materials. The absorber structure according to the invention comprises a lower layer (1) with a low transmission coefficient, a central layer (2) with a high absorption coefficient and an upper, absorbing component (3) with a low reflection coefficient for the radiation to be absorbed and which is applied from above. The upper component can e.g. comprise depressions in the central layer, whose walls are coated with metal. The absorber structure is used in the inexpensive manufacture of integrated, thermal infrared detectors.
Abstract:
A process for the production of a free flowing filled elastomer powder by combining an elastomer latex with a filler suspension is disclosed wherein the combining of elastomer latex and filler suspension takes place in the presence of about 0.1-15 parts by weight--calculated per 100 parts by weight of elastomer solid in the elastomer latex--of a high-molecular-weight amine with quaternary nitrogen functions and with an average molecular weight of about 10.sup.4 to 10.sup.8.
Abstract:
Molecular degradation of poly(diacetylenes), in particular with production of poly(diacetylenes) having selected molecular weights, is carried out by a process in which the poly(diacetylenes), for example in solution or as solid or liquid layers, are present as a homogeneous mixture with sensitizers or sensitizer systems which can be activated chemically, those which can be activated by heat and/or those which can be activated by actinic light, and degradation of the poly(diacetylenes) is induced, in particular via free radical reactions, by appropriate activation of these sensitizers or sensitizer systems.
Abstract:
A cleaning device for cleaning and/or polishing a surface having an aperture, such as a wheel rim contact surface of a motor vehicle or the like, comprises a housing, which has a rear rotary portion for rotating the housing about a rotational axis and a front fastening portion for releasably fastening a cleaning body; the cleaning body comprising a stabilising plate which faces the housing and has a centring pin that faces away from the housing and projects centrically towards the outside, and a cleaning means that covers the surface of the stabilising plate that faces away from the housing; and the fastening portion and the stabilising plate each having a corresponding connecting means for rotationally stable connection to one another.
Abstract:
A method for the continuous production of panel elements for the production of composite shuttering elements, of which each panel element has a shuttering panel of predetermined geometry with predetermined length. The shuttering panel is provided with fastening devices and reinforcement elements. According to the method a plurality of standard panels are lined-up abutting along their longitudinal edges against each other and being joined and glued together with the application of a pressing force. A panel band is created from the glued-together standard panels. Individual longitudinal portions are successively separated from the panel band, resulting in individual panels. The individual panels are successively cut to form the respectively individually predetermined geometries of the respective shuttering panel and are then successively provided with the fastening devices and then with the reinforcement elements.
Abstract:
The invention relates to the use of graft polymers obtained by polymerization in two stages. In a first stage, at least one graft basis is produced by radically polymerizing a monomer composition A) containing 0 to 40 percent by weight of one or several ethylenically unsaturated ester compounds of formula (I), wherein R represents hydrogen or methyl, R1 represents a linear or branched alkyl radical comprising 1 to 5 carbon atoms, R2 and R3 independently represent hydrogen or a group of formula —COOR′, wherein R′ represents hydrogen or an alkyl group comprising 1 to 5 carbon atoms, 60 to 100 percent by weight of one or several ethylenically unsaturated ester compounds of formula (II), wherein R represents hydrogen or methyl, R4 represents a linear or branched alkyl radical comprising 6 to 40 carbon atoms, R5 and R6 independently represent hydrogen or a group of formula —COOR′, wherein R′ represents hydrogen or an alkyl group comprising 6 to 40 carbon atoms, and 0 to 40 percent by weight of comonomers, the percentages being relative to the weight of monomer composition A). In a second stage, a monomer composition B) containing 20 to 100 percent by weight of at least one monomer that comprises at least one nitrogen-containing group is grafted onto the graft basis in order to reduce wear in lubricant oil compositions. Said graft polymer comprises a maximum of 200 ppm of sulfur while the weight ratio between monomer composition A) and monomer composition B) ranges between 99.7:0.3 and 80:20.

Abstract:
A distribution device which has a cover-like housing upper part and a housing lower part is disclosed. The housing lower part has a holding means for the cover-like housing upper part, with the result that the housing upper part can be held by the holding means of the housing lower part as the housing upper part is removed from the housing lower part. The housing upper part does not fall and be subject to damage when the housing upper part is removed or released from the housing lower part.
Abstract:
This disclosure describes systems, methods, and apparatus for rapidly detecting smoke or other particles or aerosols generated in any one or more compartments of a multi-compartment electronics enclosure. The herein disclosed system includes a particle sensor and an airflow controller that pulls air and particles from the one or more compartments through fluid pathways and into the particle sensor.
