    摘要: For use in a heterogeneous network, a method for enabling interference coordination includes, upon occurrence of a trigger condition, determining, at a first low power node, that the first low power node is approaching a second low power node. The method also includes sending, at the first low power node, an entering message to an evolved Node-B (eNB) that serves the first low power node. The method further includes receiving, at the first low power node, configuration information from the eNB to perform at least one measurement of the second low power node.

    摘要: Methods and apparatus for generating cyclic redundancy checks (CRCs). In one aspect of the present invention, a plurality of cyclic redundancy checks are calculated based upon a plurality of bits by using a selected cyclic redundancy check generator polynomial, at least one cyclic redundancy check is calculated based upon a first subset of the plurality of bits with a certain bit ordering, and at least another cyclic redundancy check is calculated based upon a second subset of the plurality of bits with a different bit ordering. The second subset of bits may overlap with the first subset of bits. In another aspect, a plurality of cyclic redundancy checks are calculated based upon a plurality of bits by using a plurality of different cyclic redundancy check generator polynomials. A first cyclic redundancy check generator polynomial is used for calculating a first cyclic redundancy check based upon a first plurality of bits, and a second cyclic redundancy check generator polynomial is used for calculating a second cyclic redundancy check based upon a second plurality of bits.

    摘要: In a communication system, a base station transmits power setting information in a downlink Physical Downlink Shared Channel (PDSCH). A mapping scheme between overhead signals and reference signal (RS) overhead ratios, and the traffic-to-pilot ratios (T2P) calculation methods are established. A user-specific T2P ratio for certain OFDM symbols, a RS overhead ratio and a calculation method selected from the plurality of T2P calculation methods are assigned to a wireless terminal. An overhead signal corresponding to the assigned RS overhead ratio and the assigned T2P calculation method is selected in accordance with the mapping scheme and transmitted to the wireless terminal. In addition, the user-specific traffic-to-pilot ratio is transmitted to the wireless terminal. The wireless terminal calculates the traffic-to-pilot ratios across different transmission antennas and different OFDM symbols based on the received traffic-to-pilot ratio, the RS overhead ratio and the T2P calculation method indicated by the RS overhead signal.

    摘要: Methods and circuits for assigning pilot boosting factors and calculating traffic to pilot ratios in a wireless communication system. The data to be transmitted is first modulated to generate a plurality of data modulation symbols. The plurality of data modulation symbols and a plurality of reference signal symbols are mapped into transmission resources of each of a plurality of antennas in accordance with a transmit diversity scheme. The transmission resources of each of the antennas are divided into a plurality of subcarriers in a frequency domain and a plurality of time units in a time domain. Then, a power scaling factor are assigned for data modulation symbols on each of the antennas in dependence upon power levels of the reference signal symbols to maintain a fixed power level across the plurality of antennas in each time unit. Finally, the data modulation symbols and the reference signal symbols are transmitted via the plurality of antennas in accordance with the mapping scheme and the assigned scaling factors.

Each of the S OFDM symbols comprises N subcarriers, and each subcarrier of each OFDM symbol comprises a resource element. The base station further comprises a reference signal allocator configured to allocate the plurality of reference signals to selected resource elements of a resource block, and circularly shift the plurality of reference signals in a time domain of the resource block by an hshift value that is based at least partly upon a cell_ID of the base station.

    摘要: A method of transmitting a control channel format indicator (CCFI), also known as PCFICH (Physical Control Format Indicator Channel), in case where the length of a coded CCFI is not an integer multiple of three, including mapping a plurality of two-bit CCFI into a codebook with each component codeword having three bits; generating a sequence of codewords selected from the codebook by repeating the selected component codeword for predetermined times; generating a codeword by concatenating the sequence of the selected component codewords with the original CCFI bits; and transmitting the codeword carrying information of CCFI. The method further includes a step of generating a permutation of each of the four codewords by assigning K repetitions of the three-bit component codeword to the number of K resource units respectively and mapping remaining K bits of each of the four codewords separately to the number of K resource units.
