Abstract: The present application provides indexing methods and systems for indexing spatial data objects of a data space, and methods and systems for performing an operation on an index of spatial data. One of the methods includes: associating each spatial data object with one of a plurality of separations according to a size of the respective spatial data object; and mapping each spatial data object to an index key based on the separation with which the spatial data object is associated. The methods and systems for performing an operation on an index of spatial data can facilitate efficient selection or manipulation of the spatial data objects.

Abstract: A MEMS microphone, includes a base with a back cavity and a capacitor system fixed to the base. The capacitor system includes a back plate above the base and a diaphragm opposite to the back plate for forming an insulated gap. The back plate includes a body part and multiple spaced fixation parts extending from the body part, and the diaphragm includes a vibrating part and a connecting part extending from the vibrating part. An orthographic projection of the body part of the back plate along a vibration direction of the diaphragm is completely located on the diaphragm; and at least a part of an orthographic projection of the fixation parts along the vibration direction is located on the diaphragm.

Abstract: A method is provided in one example embodiment and includes receiving video data and gathering statistics associated with the video data. At least some of the video data is broken into slices, each of the slices representing a partition in a video frame within the video data. Each frame is encoded with one or more quality layers based on an outgoing rate and based on a number of central processing unit (CPU) cycles, wherein one or more quality layers of the frames are dropped in the encoding process. In more specific embodiments, the statistics relate to how many bits are used for encoding the quality layers of the video data and how much complexity is required for encoding the quality layers of the video data. After the statistics gathering, adjustments to a network rate are executed.
