    摘要: To allow attachment of pinion shafts in their phased states only in simple steps which do not require a crimping step and a special device. A pinion shaft support structure for a planetary gear includes pinion gears, pinion shafts for pivotally supporting the pinion gears, and a carrier having a plurality of shaft support holes for rotatably supporting the pinion shafts, the pinion shafts being supported by the shaft support holes. The pinion shaft support structure includes stepped portions formed on end surfaces of the pinion shafts and a fall-out prevention washer which is mounted on the carrier to be capable of locking the stepped portions. An outer circumferential rim of the fall-out prevention washer mounted on the carrier faces the stepped portions of the respective pinion shafts inserted into the plurality of respective shaft support holes and is capable of locking the stepped portions, and the pinion shafts are thereby positioned (phased) in their rotational directions.

    摘要: A wiring layer having an antireflection film of TiN or the like is formed on an insulating film covering a principal surface of a semiconductor substrate, and thereafter an interlayer insulating film including first to third insulating films is formed covering the wiring layer. The first and third insulating films are silicon oxide films formed by PE CVD or the like, and the second insulating film is a coated insulating film of inorganic or organic SOG. A contact hole is formed through the interlayer insulating film in a region corresponding to a partial surface area of the wiring layer, by dry etching using a resist layer as a mask. The coated insulating film, which is likely to be subjected to side etching, is etched under a highly depositive condition not containing N2, and thereafter the lower insulating film is etched under a lowly depositive condition containing N2.

    摘要: A magnetic disk device comprises a magnetic disk in which a data zone is formed. An actuator has a voice coil and a head slider carrying a magnetic head, the actuator being swung to move the magnetic head over the disk between an innermost position of the data zone and an outermost position of the data zone. A magnet has a magnetization center and is opposed to the voice coil so that a voice coil motor which swings the actuator is formed, the magnet having a north pole and a south pole confronting each other via the magnetization center. The magnetic disk device is provided so that a deviation of a center of the voice coil from the magnetization center when the magnetic head is in the innermost position of the data zone is substantially equal to a deviation of the center of the voice coil from the magnetization center when the magnetic head is in the outermost position of the data zone.

    摘要: A head actuator that positions a head to perform information recording or playback on a computer readable storage medium, has a voice coil flanked by magnets. Through the voice coil a drive current flows and a damper to fit in a space between the voice coil and one of the magnets is formed on at least a portion of the voice coil. The head actuator vibration is controlled to achieve a more compact information storage apparatus and high-density recording. For example, on a voice coil (51) of a head actuator (20), a damping material (71) consisting of single layer viscoelasticity is formed along one lap of the voice coil (51). The damping material (71) is a single layer to not take up dimensions in the thickness direction, and, while pursuing making the apparatus more compact, it is possible to hold down vibration generated by the actuator (20).

    摘要: A hard disk drive includes a base having a bottom plate. A magnetic body is embedded in the bottom plate. The magnetic body is allowed to serve as a magnetic shield in the hard disk drive. The magnetic body is allowed to have a sufficient thickness without requiring an additional space outside the base, since the magnetic body is embedded in the base. The magnetic field directed outside the base can reliably be absorbed at the magnetic body. The magnetic body may be received in a depression defined in the bottom plate. The depression may be formed based on a reduction in the thickness of the bottom plate.
