摘要： An OADM in a wavelength division multiplexing transmission system includes a wavelength selection switch that selects a predetermined wavelength from a multiple optical signal obtained by multiplexing a phase modulated signal and an intensity modulated signal and outputs the selected wavelength signal to a predetermined output port. The wavelength selection switch has a different delay for each wavelength of the multiple optical signal. For example, the wavelength selection switch includes a mirror array. Optical paths from the surfaces of mirrors arranged on the mirror array to the diffraction grating are different in the case of adjacent mirrors.

In the optical packet network system made up by interconnecting respective nodes adjacent to each other, and connecting a sending source of an optical packet signal to a ring, a light noise removal function block is provided between the respective nodes adjacent to each other.

摘要： A fine vacuum tube element and other electronic elements are integrated and formed on a semiconductor substrate, and the fine vacuum tube element and the other electronic elements transmit signals to and from each other. Also an integrated circuit of an advanced function-integrated type is provided, comprising an interference system such as a Mach-Zehnder interferometer wherein weighting of the Mach-Zehnder interferometer is constituted for image processing and signal code conversion. A very high-speed light-receiving integrated circuit for optical communication is constructed by utilizing a very high-speed optical response characteristic of electron emission of the vacuum element, and a sensor such as a magnetic/electric field sensor is constructed by utilizing a quantum effect of ballistically traveling electrons.

摘要： The present invention makes improvements in a mobile communication system that performs a communication via a communication network provided in a mobile body to execute a data transfer. The present system comprises a plurality of nodes, a path control device which receives data from the nodes respectively, selects a path for the data transfer on the communication network, and outputs the data, first optical fibers which connect each of the nodes and the path control device and transfer the data, and second optical fibers provided in parallel with the first optical fibers. In the present system, the path control device communicates with the node via the second optical fiber when a failure occurs in the first optical fiber.

摘要： There is provided an A/D converter capable of changing specification and function of the A/D converter with the use of a programmable circuit by combining comparators with the programmable circuit. The A/D converter comprises a parallel-connected comparison circuit including a plurality of comparators, an analog signal being inputted to one of input terminals of the respective comparators while respective predetermined reference voltages being inputted to the other of the input terminals of the respective comparators, and a digital processing circuit for receiving output signals from the parallel-connected comparison circuit, and executing predetermined digital processing as set on the basis of a program.

摘要： The present invention is related to an isolated chemolithotrophic bacterial strain belonging to the specie Acidithiobacillus ferrooxidans, named “Wenelen” and deposited at the Deutsche Sammlung von Mikroorganismen und Zellkulturen GmbH—DSMZ under classification number DSM 16786, the use of said bacteria for leaching ores or concentrates containing of metallic sulfide species and leaching processes based on the use of said bacteria or mixtures that contain said bacteria. This Wenelen DSM 16786 strain has an increased oxidizing activity, especially regarding chalcopyrite, when compared to known bacteria. Due to the former feature, this bacteria strain show great interest for biomining applications and it is presently being subjected to annotation processes after sequencing.

If a dispersion compensation value setting unit performs an optimal residual dispersion value search, the VIPA plate temperature adjusting unit determines if a filtering penalty is lower than a predetermined value in accordance with a penalty management table. If the filtering penalty is lower than the predetermined value, temperature adjustment of the VIPA plate is not performed.
