    摘要: A system for generating a patient-specific implant is described which includes a means for generating a three dimensional electronic representation of a human anatomical feature including size and curvature features matching the human anatomical feature, a means for selecting a prosthetic implant template from a database of prosthetic implant templates, the database being formed of the prosthetic implant templates by a means for generating a series of the virtual implant templates, a means for designing the patient-specific implant to imitate the size and curvature features based at least in part on the selected prosthetic implant template, and a means for virtually testing fit of the patient-specific implant using the three dimensional electronic representation of the human anatomical feature.

    摘要: A prosthesis (10) for the reconstruction of the shoulder joint comprises a glenoid prosthesis (11) comprising an attachment support for the glenoid (13) and a joint element of the glenoid (14) and a humeral prosthesis (12) comprising an attachment support for the humerus (17) and a joint element of the humerus (15). The joint elements of the glenoid (14) and the humerus (15) are shaped in such a way as to achieve a spherical-type coupling therebetween for the artificial reconstruction of the shoulder joint. The joint elements of the glenoid (14) and the humerus (15) are constrained in a removable way by said attachment supports for the glenoid (13) and the humerus (17). The joint element of the humerus (15) is made of plastic material, in particular of polyethylene, and the joint element of the glenoid (14) is made of metallic material, in particular of a cobalt-chromium alloy.

    摘要: A stemless humeral shoulder assembly having a base member and an anchor advanceable into the base member. The base member can include a distal end that can be embedded in bone and a proximal end that can be disposed at a bone surface. The base member can also have a plurality of spaced apart arms projecting from the proximal end to the distal end. The anchor can project circumferentially into the arms and into a space between the arms. When the anchor is advanced into the base member, the anchor can be exposed between the arms. A recess can project distally from a proximal end of the anchor to within the base member. The recess can receive a mounting member of an anatomical or reverse joint interface.
