    摘要: Since a second reinforcing rib (24e) protruding from a motor accommodating portion (24) to outside is provided to a portion formed with a weld line (WL) formed by the merger of molten resin (MR), the material thickness of the portion formed with the weld line (WL) can be increased. Therefore, the strength of the portion formed with the weld line (WL) is improved, and the strength of a case (21) as a whole can be improved. The case (21) sufficiently resistible to outer shocks can be achieved, and can be sufficiently used even in adverse environments such as a place near an undercarriage of a vehicle, and high reliability can be obtained. Since a small flange portion is provided on a caliper fixing portion side which supports an output shaft where large running torque is loaded, the weld line can be kept away from the caliper fixing portion, with this small flange portion taken as an inlet portion for the molten resin. Thus, with the caliper fixing portion side of the case inhibited from being distorted, it is possible to reliably inhibit unusual noise and so forth from occurring from an actuator.

    摘要: Self-steering axle assembly has an axle with central tube having a longitudinal central axis. A king pin is connected with an end portion of the axle. A knuckle is connected with the king pin. The knuckle includes a torque plate section. A first arm of the knuckle extends from a side of the torque plate section and receives a first end portion of the king pin. A second arm extends from the torque plate section in the same direction as the first arm. The second arm receives a second end portion of the king pin. A spindle is friction welded to the torque plate section and has a longitudinal central axis. The torque plate section has at least one surface on the torque plate section extending substantially perpendicular to the longitudinal central axis of the spindle. A tool engages the surface during friction welding of the spindle to the torque plate section. The relative locations of the axle, spindle and king pin enable an air disc brake actuator to avoid contact with components of the heavy-duty vehicle during steering and with the ground and debris.

The brake controller includes: a pressing force detection section configured to detect a pressing force information corresponding to a pressing force by which the pad is pressed against the rotor during braking; a stroke detection section configured to detect a stroke information corresponding to a stroke amount of the pad toward the rotor during braking, wherein the brake controller distributes the braking force to each of the wheels such that the pressing force is in a range other than a predetermined range, and sets the predetermined range based on the pressing force information and the stroke information.

    摘要: This electric braking device uses drive torque of an electric motor to push a friction member against a rotating member secured to a vehicle wheel and produce braking torque in the vehicle wheel. This device comprises a body power source for electric motor power supply secured to a body of the vehicle, and a vehicle wheel power source for electric motor power supply secured to the vehicle wheel. The body power source supplies power to the vehicle wheel power source via a first electric path, and the vehicle wheel power source supplies power to the electric motor via a second electric path. When braking torque is produced in the vehicle wheel, the electric motor is normally driven using the vehicle wheel power source. An electric braking device is thereby provided in which a power line electrically connecting the body side and the vehicle wheel side bends readily.
