A first dust collector 27 has a housing into which a gas carrying capture material is carried; a filter 240 having a filter element 305 that captures the capture material, and an opening 305b from which air passing through the filter element 305 flows out; and an injector having a nozzle with an injection opening that injects a gas, moves the nozzle to a position in contact with the opening, and injects the gas from the injection opening 305b when the nozzle is in contact with the opening 305b.

    摘要: An eductor for mixing liquids and solid particles includes a nozzle, an initial mixing chamber, a first diffuser, an intermediate mixing chamber and a second diffuser. The nozzle includes a semicircular nozzle outlet that is offset from a centrally-located first axis. Motive flow is accelerated through the nozzle through a first and second acceleration segment. Solid particles are added to the motive flow in the initial mixing chamber and directed to the first diffuser. Each diffuser includes an acceleration and a deceleration segment separated by an elliptically-shaped throat. The intermediate mixing chamber is located between the first and second diffusers. A method for mixing liquids and solids includes introducing a motive flow into an initial mixing chamber, creating a vacuum in the initial mixing chamber to induce solids into the motive fluid, providing a region of turbulence to enhance mixing of the motive flow and solid particles, and diffusing the motive flow to further increase boundary flow separation conducive to mixing.

    摘要: Composite panels and pulp, and paper products of the pulp, are produced from Arundo donax. In the fabrication of the composite panels, Arundo donax is comminuted to a suitable size, combined with a binder, and consolidated into panels that meet standards for construction and/or furniture grade panels. The Arundo donax particulates may be combined with wood particulates to produce a mixed furnish that can be used in the preparation of composite panels. Comminuted Arundo donax is treated, in conventional pulping processes, to produce a high tensile strength pulp that can be used in the production of paper. The pulp has a lighter color than wood pulp, and thereby uses less bleaching chemicals to achieve a desired whiteness. The pulp can be combined with wood pulp to produce a variety of products.

The pulp can be molded into a biodegradable package that can be utilized as a delivery vehicle to a site having nutrient-enrichable soil, where the package can be used as a soil amendment after being used as a delivery vehicle.
