During initial client device association with the wireless network, captive browser use at the client device may be minimized by directing the device to a fully-capable browser. Upon association, subsequent captivity probes transmitted by the client device may be detected and handled so as to prevent undesired re-launching of the captive browser at the client device.

    摘要: A dynamic satellite map updating system measures geographic position and travel information of in-flight aircraft in a fleet of aircraft equipped to establish in-flight connectivity services from a plurality of satellite beams. The in-flight aircraft include an on-board satellite map program with satellite map parameters to indicate which satellite beam of a group of available satellite beams is the most desirable based on the in-flight aircraft's geographic location. The system selects in-flight aircraft, determines updated satellite map parameters for the selected aircraft, and transmits the updated satellite map parameters to the aircraft to assemble new satellite map programs to relieve wireless data outage conditions on one or more of the satellite beams. The dynamic satellite updating system may transmit the updated satellite map parameters over an existing satellite data connection to make up-to-date adjustments to the communications load among the group of available satellite beams.

    摘要: Systems and methods are provided to support hypernumber portability for a hypernumber number corresponding to an electronic device. The electronic device may include an installed application to facilitate hypernumber portability. To this end, when the electronic devices connects to a wireless network, the electronic device may request a vehicle identification. If the wireless network is a vehicle-based network, the electronic device may receive the vehicle identification from an on-board node. When the received vehicle identification indicates that the electronic device has changed locations, the electronic device may communicate with a hypernumber database and/or a hypernumber server to update a dynamic phonebook. As a result, as the electronic device traverses a transport network, the dynamic phonebook may maintain updated location and call routing information for the electronic device.

    摘要: The Aircraft Mobile IP Address System provides wireless communication services to passengers who are located onboard an aircraft by storing data indicative of the individually identified wireless devices located onboard the aircraft. The System assigns a single IP address to each Point-to-Point Protocol link which connects the aircraft network to the ground-based communication network but also creates an IP subnet onboard the aircraft. The IP subnet utilizes a plurality of IP addresses for each Point-to-Point link thereby to enable each passenger wireless device to be uniquely identified with their own IP address. This is enabled since both Point-to-Point Protocol IPCP endpoints have pre-defined IP address pools and/or topology configured; each Point-to-Point Protocol endpoint can utilize a greater number of IP addresses than one per link. Such an approach does not change IPCP or other EVDO protocols/messaging but does allow this address to be directly visible to the ground-based communication network.
