摘要： A high bandwidth multiple spot video processing system includes a mosaic array, a dual memory buffer, and a processor. The array and dual memory buffer, operative independently of the processor, are cooperative to provide digital data representative of the spatial intensity distribution of a two-dimensional input signal incident on the mosaic array at a selectable frame rate. A buffer controller, coupled to the processor and to the dual memory buffer, for implementing a communications protocol that allows the processor to selectively operate in a mode synchronous with the data frame rate or asynchronous with the data frame rate to respectively provide a real-time processing mode and a special processing capability. The dual memories of the dual memory buffer each share the same address space of the global memory of the processor. In the real-time processing mode, the buffer memories are physically switched between the array and the processor such that while one buffer memory is being read by the processor the other buffer memory is being written by the photoarray. Speed up and signal conditioning electronics associated with the photoarray are included in the processing system.

摘要： A conforming heat sink assembly including a heat dispersive element is mounted in spaced relationship to a surface from which heat is to be conducted. A thermal interface is provided for coupling the heat dispersive element to the surface from which heat is to be conducted. The thermal interface includes an elastomeric member which occupies only a portion of a volume defined by mounting the heat dispersive element proximate the surface from which heat is to be conducted. The unoccupied volume allows the elastomeric member to easily conform to the irregular surface from which heat is to be conducted to enhance thermal conductivity from the surface to the heat dispersive member.

摘要： A method and apparatus for the automated assembly of sleeves onto the body of the garment. In the present invention, the garment body is placed on a first fixture resembling a mannequin. The sleeves are placed inside facing out on a second conical fixture. Automatically, each sleeve is positioned and sewn onto the garment body and the finished garment is removed from the first fixture. Through the use of sensors, each sleeve is precisely and consistently sewn to the garment body. The result is a high quality garment produced at a lower cost.

摘要： A microfluidic device for increasing convective clearance of particles from a fluid is provided. In some implementations, described herein the microfluidic device includes multiple layers that each define infusate, blood, and filtrate channels. Each of the channels have a pressure profile. The device can also include one or more pressure control features. The pressure control feature controls a difference between the pressure profiles along a length of the device. For example, the pressure control feature can control the difference between the pressure profile of the filtrate channel and the pressure profile of the blood channel. In some implementations, the pressure control feature controls the pressure difference between two channels such that the difference varies along the length of the channels by less than 50% of the pressure difference between the channels at the channels' inlets.

摘要： Systems and methods for cleansing blood are disclosed herein. The methods include acoustically separating undesirable particles bound to capture particles from formed elements of whole blood. After introducing the capture particles to whole blood containing undesirable particles, the whole blood and capture particles are flowed through a microfluidic separation channel. At least one bulk acoustic transducer is attached to the microfluidic separation channel. A standing acoustic wave, imparted on the channel and its contents by the bulk acoustic transducer, drives the formed elements and undesirable particles bound to capture particles to specific aggregation axes. After aggregating the particles, the formed elements exit the separation channel through a first outlet and are returned to the patient. The undesirable particles, bound to the capture particles, exit through a second outlet and can be discarded to saved for later study.
