摘要: Systems and methods for providing deeper knee flexion capabilities. In some instances, such systems and methods include a tibial component that has an asymmetrical articular plateau that includes a medial tibial condylar surface and a lateral tibial condylar surface. In some cases, at least one of the medial condylar surface and the lateral condylar surface includes a concave articulation surface having a lowest point that disposed from a posterior edge of the tibial component by between about 18% and less than about 35% of a total anteroposterior dimension of the tibial component. Other implementations are also discussed.

摘要: A method of forming an implantable tissue engineered construct, a bioreactor for forming a tissue engineered construct, and a tissue engineered construct itself are disclosed The method includes seeding a scaffold with cells to form a tissue construct; locating the tissue construct in a space defined by a tissue construct support element; locating the tissue construct support element within a bioreactor; and operating a load applicator of the bioreactor to apply a cyclical compressive mechanical load to the tissue construct, to stimulate the deposition of tissue matrix in the tissue construct, in which the tissue construct, the tissue construct support element and the load applicator are arranged so that the load applicator can at least initially contact both the tissue construct and the tissue construct support element, so that at least part of a total load generated by the load applicator is borne by the tissue construct support element.

摘要: A ported catheter adapter having a combined blood control valve and port valve, wherein the combined valve comprises one or more vents that permit the passage of air and prevent the passage of fluids. The one or more vents are located on the outer surface of the valve so as to avoid being overlapped with the pathway of the side port. As such, fluid communication between the side port and the vents is prevented. Various venting configurations are provided. The invention further includes a valve actuator that is advanced through a slit in the membrane of the valve to provide a pathway for fluid to bypass the valve.

摘要: A wire-arranging pin is mounted on a winding frame for facilitating fixing an outlet part of a winding coil. The winding coil is wound around the winding frame. The wire-arranging pin includes a first connecting part, a main fixing part and a second connecting part. The first connecting part has a first end and a second end, wherein the first end is coupled to the winding frame. The main fixing part is coupled to the second end of the first connecting part and has a first notch. The outlet part of the winding coil penetrates through the first notch to be held by the main fixing part. The second connecting part has a first end coupled to the main fixing part.
