摘要: This disclosure relates to supported multi-metallic catalysts for use in the hydrotreating of hydrocarbon feeds, as well as a method for preparing such catalysts. The catalysts are prepared from a catalyst precursor comprised of at least one Group VIB metal, at least one Group VIII metal and an organic acid. The catalyst precursor is thermally treated to partially decompose the organic acid, then sulfided. The catalysts have a high carbon-as-carboxyl to total carbon ratio (Ccarboxy/Ctotal) as a result of a unique post-metal calcination method employed during the manufacture of the catalyst. As a result, the hydrotreating catalysts have lower percent weight loss-on-ignition, higher activity and longer catalyst life.

摘要: Spheroidal catalyst support, supported catalyst, and method of preparing and using the catalyst for hydrodemetallation of metal-containing heavy oil feedstocks are disclosed. The catalyst supports comprise titania alumina having 5 wt % or less titania and have greater than 30% percent of their pore volume in pores having a diameter of between 200 and 500 Å. Catalysts prepared from the supports contain Group 6, 9 and 10 metals or metal compounds supported on the titania alumina supports. Catalysts in accordance with the invention exhibit improved catalytic activity and stability to remove metals from heavy feedstocks during a hydrotreating process. The catalysts also provide increased sulfur and MCR conversion during a hydrotreating process.

摘要: Catalyst supports, supported catalysts, and a method of preparing and using the catalysts for the demetallation of metal-containing heavy oil feedstocks are disclosed. The catalyst supports comprise alumina and 5 wt % or less titania. Catalyst prepared from the supports have at least 30 to 80 volume percent of its pore volume in pores having a diameter of between 200 and 500 angstroms. Catalysts in accordance with the invention exhibit improved catalytic activity and stability to remove metals from heavy feedstocks during a hydroconversion process. The catalysts also exhibit increased sulfur and MCR conversion.

摘要: Catalyst supports, supported catalysts, and a method of preparing and using the catalysts for the demetallation of metal-containing heavy oil feedstocks are disclosed. The catalyst supports comprise precipitated alumina prepared by a low temperature pH swing process. A large portion of the pore volume of the catalyst supports has pores with a diameter in the range of about 200 Å to about 500 Å. Catalysts prepared from the supports of the invention exhibit improved catalytic activity and stability to remove metals from heavy hydrocarbon feedstocks during a hydroconversion process. The catalysts also exhibit increased sulfur and MCR conversion during the hydroconversion process.

摘要: Improved supported hydroprocessing catalysts, and their method of preparation useful for the hydrodesulfurization (HDS) and hydrodenitrogenation (HDN) of a petroleum feedstock, including a residuum hydrocarbon feedstock are disclosed. The Catalysts contain at least one Groups VIB metal component, at least one Group VIII metal component, and a phosphorus component, supported on a foraminous support such as alumina. The supported catalysts are characterized by a specific combination of properties, namely, the Group VIII metal to Phosphorous molar ratio, the Group VIII metal to Group VIB metal molar ratio, the phosphorous component to Group VIB component molar ratio and the median pore diameter. The resulting catalysts exhibit enhanced HDN without sacrificing to any significant degree the HDS activity.

摘要: Improved catalyst supports, supported catalyst, and method of preparing and using the catalysts for the hydrodesulfurization of a residuum hydrocarbon feedstock are disclosed. Catalysts in accordance with the invention exhibit improved sulfur and MCR conversion in hydrotreating processes.

摘要: A supported catalyst for hydroprocessing, hydrotreating or hydrocracking hydrocarbon feedstocks, the supported catalyst comprising at least one metal from Group 6 and at least one metal from Groups 8, 9, or 10 of the Periodic Table of the Elements, and optionally comprising phosphorous. The Group 6 metal comprises about 30 to about 45 wt. % and the total of Group 6 and Group 8, 9, or 10 or mixtures thereof metal components comprise about 35 to about 55 wt. %, calculated as oxides and based on the total weight of the catalyst composition. The metals, and phosphorous when present, are carried on and/or within a porous inorganic oxide carrier or support, the support prior to incorporation of the metals and phosphorus, having a total pore volume (TPV) of about 0.8 cc/g to about 1.5 cc/g and comprising a defined pore size distribution and wherein the supported catalyst comprises a defined pore size distribution.
