Abstract:
A method for starting a permanent magnet single-phase synchronous electric motor which includes a permanent magnet rotor and a stator with windings, and which is connected to an electrical grid by a switch. The method includes: a first starting attempt in which the windings are fed in current with first starting impulses generated only during the half-periods of a first polarity of the voltage of the electrical grid; a first control step which detects whether a starting condition has been obtained in the first starting attempt; and, if the first control step does not detect that the starting condition has been obtained within the term of the first starting attempt, a second starting attempt in which the windings are fed in current with second starting impulses generated only during the half-periods of a second polarity that is opposite to the first polarity of the voltage of the electrical grid.

Abstract:
The present invention relates to a substantially package-like discrete electronic component of the type comprising a power electronic circuit, a body or casing, substantially parallelepiped, and electric connecting pins connected inside the body with said circuit and projecting from said body for an electric connection on the electronic printed circuit board. The body has a heat dissipating header having at least one surface emerging from the body and laying on a plane whereas the pins project from the body for a first section initially extended parallel to the plane. Advantageously a pair of pins has a substantially U-shaped bending, after the first section parallel to the plane for allowing a more stable bearing of the component during the step of welding to a heat dissipating intermediate die.

The invention regards a permanent-magnets mono-phase synchronous electric motor (7) for washing machines and the like, in particular for washing pumps (1), with improved stator (4) structure and of the type centrally comprising a permanent-magnets axial rotor (2) and a stator (4) with a lamination pack core (5) and a couple of pole pieces with ends enveloping the rotor (2), of which they have substantially the same axial length and from which they are spaced by respective aircore. Such a motor is distinguished in that the lamination pack core (5) has a shorter axial length with respect to the ends (10, 11) of said pole pieces.Advantageously, the stator (4) pole pieces are obtained through moulding magnetic powders.

The invention relates to a method for detecting unbalanced conditions of a rotating load driven by a synchronous electric motor (3) in washing machines (1) and similar rotably drum (2) household appliances and wherein at least a transient step is provided with variation of the angular speed (w) of the rotably drum (2).
