Abstract:
In the present invention, control shafts (11A, 11B) having bodies (16A, 16B) and control arm parts (17A, 17B) extending from the bodies (16A, 16B) toward the outer side in the radial direction are rotatably provided on the outer peripheral surface of a drive camshaft (2). A cam follower (13) is oscillatably mounted to the control arm parts (17A, 17B) via a support shaft (25). Oscillating arm parts (35A, 35B) extending toward the position opposite to a drive cam (3) across a cam follower roller (27) are provided on oscillating cams (14A, 14B). A central shaft (26) of the cam follower roller (27) is connected to the oscillating arm parts (35A, 35B) by link arms (29A, 29B) of which both longitudinal ends are rotatably connected to the central shaft (26) of the cam follower roller (27) and the oscillating arm parts (35A, 35B).
Abstract:
In a balancer apparatus of an engine having an oil pump, a space on a chain side and a space on an oil strainer side are partitioned by a projecting portion projecting in a direction which perpendicularly crosses balancer shafts in a balancer housing formed on an oil pump housing. An oil strainer is attached to a side wall on the anti-chain side of the projecting portion, and a chain tensioner for applying tension to a chain is arranged in the space on the chain side formed by enlarging the attaching surface of the oil pan outwardly so as to enclose the projecting portion. Thus oil which has been stirred by the chain and in which air has been mixed is prevented from being sucked into the oil strainer.
Abstract:
It is considered that a user selects a communication channel in accordance with a communication object when performing communication via a second base station (femto cell base station). Accordingly, it is desirable that a communication terminal device which can perform communication via a second base station have a function for selecting a communication path. Provided is a communication terminal device which can be used for communication via a second base station by selecting and transmitting request information for using a mobile telephone network connection with an Internet service.

Abstract:
A cylinder head structure of an internal combustion engine which permits shortening of the overall length of the engine, provides a reduction in the exhaust-side width of the engine making the engine compact, and enables formation of intake ports in a rectilinear shape, all of which are advantageous with respect to both performance of the engine and layout of an intake manifold. The cylinder head structure includes intake-side bolt boss portions and exhaust-side bolt boss portions formed adjacently on both sides of intake-side tappet boss portions and exhaust-side tappet boss portions in a crank axis direction, respectively, the intake-side tappet boss portions being positioned outside the intake-side bolt boss portions in the transverse direction of the cylinder head, and the exhaust-side tappet boss portions being positioned inside the exhaust-side bolt boss portions transversely of the cylinder head.
Abstract:
In order to prevent the performance of a motor from deteriorating due to a change in which the rotation rate of its rotor is to be increased suddenly, in a brushless motor in which a drive pulse whose pulse width is modulated in correspondence to a rotation rate setting signal input from the outside is formed and switching control is performed on the current supplied to the exciting coils by using output signals from the Hall elements that detect the position of the rotor and the drive pulse, the pulse width of the drive pulse is changed gradually and greatly until it reaches the pulse width that corresponds to the rotation rate setting signal when the upward change in the rotation rate of the rotor is to be large.
Abstract:
A laser beam is focused onto a substrate for texturing the substrate surface to form a multiplicity of microscopic bumps thereon, wherein the laser beam to be focused is continuously modulated at an I.sub.max /I.sub.min ratio in the range from 10 to 100 wherein I.sub.max is the maximum amplitude of pulse oscillating laser beam output and I.sub.min is the minimum amplitude of pulse oscillating laser beam output, while the minimum output of the laser beam is controlled to a level lower than the minimum energy required for creating the microscopic bumps. A magnetic recording medium having good CSS characteristics can be produced at a high production rate from the laser-textured substrate.
Abstract:
An EMI prevention circuit has a first ground pattern grounded to a car body and a second ground pattern connected to the first ground patter by way of an EMI condenser. A large-current ground line through which a large current flows is connected to the first ground pattern by way of an EMI condenser. A small-current ground line in which a small current flows is directly connected to the second ground pattern without using any EMI condenser in between. Because of this, even when a ground potential of the first ground pattern fluctuates by a noise due to driving a large-current load, since the second ground pattern is directly connected to a ground side of a car battery, the second ground pattern is maintained at a ground potential of the car battery and does not fluctuate. Also, when any high-frequency noise invades from a radio communication set and a portable telephone set, since the second ground pattern is connected to the first ground pattern by way of an EMI condenser, the high-frequency noise is discharged to the car body through the first ground pattern.
