A liquid potential energy increasing device includes a first receiving trough, a second receiving trough, a liquid absorbing structure, a first magnetic component, and a second magnetic component. The liquid absorbing structure includes a main body portion and an extending portion. The extending portion conveys a liquid in the first receiving trough into the main body portion. When a sum of a weight of the main body portion and a weight of the liquid in the main body portion is greater than the magnetic attraction, the main body portion hits the second receiving trough by gravity, so that the liquid in the main body portion is at least partially released to the second receiving trough so as to increase potential energy of the liquid.

A JBOD subsystem for providing storage to a host entity. The JBOD subsystem contains at least one external JBOD emulation controller coupled to the host entity for emulating IO operations in response to the IO requests and a set of at least one physical storage device coupled to the JBOD emulation controller for providing storage to the host entity through the JBOD emulation controller. The JBOD emulation controller defines at least one logical media unit (LMU) consisting of sections of the set of physical storage device (PSD) and communicates with the PSD through a point-to-point serial-signal interconnect. As an example, the point-to-point serial-signal interconnect can be a Serial ATA IO device interconnect.

A vibration ring includes a vibration module and a latex ring. The vibration module is provided with at least a battery, a circuit board and a vibration motor that are connected electrically in a spherical shell, along with a switch that is exposed out of the shell. The latex ring includes an annular wearing part that is processed with latex, and a spherical vibration part that encloses the shell of the vibration module. The spherical vibration part and the enclosed vibration module act onto a female's clitoris without pressing on other parts of the body, so as to increase the comfortableness in wearing the vibration ring and form a better exciting effect in vibration.

A method for pilot design for data to be transmitted by an orthogonal frequency-division multiplexing (OFDM) based communication system, the data being represented by a plurality of OFDM symbols. The method includes allocating pilot symbols for a data stream to be included in ones of the OFDM symbols; and performing a frequency shift on at least one of the OFDM symbols, to reduce frequency distance disparities among the pilot symbols.

An illuminating device adapted to a projecting apparatus including a lamp module, a power module, and a fan is provided. The lamp module is separately disposed in the projecting apparatus. The lamp module has a lamp, an igniting module and a plate. The igniting module is capable of generating a high voltage signal to drive the lamp. The plate is disposed between the lamp and the igniting module for shielding radiating heat generated by the lamp. The power module is capable of generating a low voltage signal transmitted to the igniting module through a low voltage power line. The igniting module transforms the low voltage signal into the high voltage signal to drive the lamp. The fan is disposed at a first side of the lamp for cooling the lamp.

A miniaturized dual-balanced mixer circuit based on a multilayer double spiral layout architecture is proposed, which is designed for use to provide a frequency mixing function for millimeter wave (MMW) signals, and which features a downsized circuit layout architecture that allows IC implementation to be more miniaturized than the conventional star-type dual-balanced mixer (DBM). The proposed miniaturized dual-balanced mixer circuit is distinguished from the conventional star-type DBM particularly in the use of a 3-dimensional double-spiral circuit layout architecture for the layout of two balun circuit units. This feature allows the required layout area to be only about 15% of that of the conventional star-type DBM.
