    摘要: The invention relates to a process of coating a substrate with a non-aqueous coating composition comprising a) a polyol, b) a polyisocyanate crosslinker, c) a metal based catalyst for the addition reaction of hydroxyl groups and isocyanate groups, d) a thiol-functional compound at least partly deactivating the metal based catalyst, and e) a photolatent base which can be activated by actinic radiation, wherein the photolatent base prior to activation has a pKa value below 8, and wherein at least 60 mol-% of all isocyanate-reactive groups are hydroxyl groups, comprising the steps of: i) applying the coating composition to a substrate and ii) curing the coating composition.

    摘要: The invention pertains to a coating composition comprising a first compound comprising at least one bicyclo- or spiro-orthoester group and a second compound comprising at least two hydroxyl-reactive groups. The invention also comprises a process for curing the present coating composition. More particularly, the latent hydroxyl groups of the bicyclo- or spiro-orthoester groups have to be deblocked and reacted with the hydroxyl-reactive groups of the second compound if the present coating composition is to be cured. Further, a process for making bicyclo-orthoester compounds from the corresponding oxetane compound is described, as are polymers comprising at least one bicyclo- or spiro-orthoester group.

    摘要: Photoactivatable coating composition comprising at least one photoinitiator and a base-catalysed polymerisable or curable organic material comprising at least one polyisocyanate and at least one compound containing isocyanate reactive groups, wherein the isocyanate reactive groups comprise at least one thiol group and the photoinitiator is a photolatent base.Preference is given to a coating composition wherein the photolatent base is selected from the group of N-substituted 4-(ortho-nitrophenyl)dihydropyridine, a quaternary organo-boron photoinitiator, and an α-amino acetophenone. The composition additionally may comprise an organic acid, a metal complex and/or a metal salt as a cocatalyst and/or a sensitiser selected from the group of thioxanthones, oxazines, rhodamines, and preferably from the group of benzophenone and derivatives thereof.

The spray gun according to the invention is suitable for all types of actinic radiation-curable coating compositions, even if there is no induction period between the initiation by actinic radiation and the actual onset of the curing reaction. The balance of flow of the coating material just after application and the drying speed are particularly favourable.

An acid or latent acid and one or more compounds of the group of vinyl ethers, acetals, and alkoxysilanes which are reactive in the presence of an acid are incorporated into the coating composition. The vinyl ethers, acetals, and alkoxysilanes preferably are covalently bounded to the alkyd resin. The ratio of the number of oxidatively drying groups present in the alkyd resin to the number of groups reactive in the presence of an acid preferably is in the range of 1/10 to 15/1. The acid preferably is the phosphoric acid dibutyl ester.

    摘要: The present invention relates to a process for repair of a coated substrate comprising the steps of a) applying a liquid, ambient temperature curable two-component coating composition on an area of the coated substrate that needs to be repaired, wherein curing of the two-component coating composition commences upon mixing of the components and does not require UV or electron beam radiation or supply of thermal energy, b) applying a film on top of the applied coating composition, c) allowing the applied coating composition to cure, and d) removing the film from the cured coating composition on the substrate.
