摘要: A monolithic ink-jet print head and a method of fabricating the same are proposed, which not only can allow the nozzle device to be highly secured to the ink-jet print head, but also can allow the overall manufacturing process for the ink-jet print head to be more simplified and thus more cost-effective to implement as compared to the prior art. The monolithic ink-jet print head is constructed on a print-control chip formed with an array of transducers. A plurality of ink barrier layers are then formed from a first polymer over the print-control chip for separating the transducers from each other; and subsequently, a nozzle device is formed from a second polymer over the ink barrier layer. The second polymer is substantially equal or at least close in thermal expansion coefficient to the first polymer used to form the ink barrier layer. Therefore, the nozzle device would hardly break apart from the ink barrier layer after a long period of use that would easily occur in the prior art due to repeated unequal thermal expansions during operation. Moreover, the monolithic process to fabricate the ink-jet print head also allows the manufacture of the ink-jet print head to be easily carried out for mass production with reduced manufacturing cost simply through conventional semiconductor fabrication processes.

摘要: A transmitting-type liquid crystal display projection system including a planar light source which emits planar white beam or planar R/G/B beams in succession is provided. A first polarization filter receives the planar light source and polarizes the same to be in a first polarization state. A liquid-crystal light valve receives the polarized planar light source, and converts the first polarization state to a second polarization state having a corresponding gray level. A second polarization filter receives a light output from the liquid crystal light valve to produce a second polarization light beam. A projection unit projects the second polarization light beam onto a display plane. Using the same planar light source, a polarization beam splitting (PBS) device with a refection-type liquid crystal light valve can be used to achieve the reflection-type projection system.

摘要: A manufacturing method of monolithic integrated thermal bubble inkjet print heads and the structure for the same. The method utilizes semiconductor manufacturing technologies to configure various elements in a thermal bubble inkjet print head, such as ink channels, an ink slot, an energy transducer, an orifice plate, on a single substrate. The ink channels are formed on an top surface of the substrate using the anisotropic etching technique. The ink slot is formed on a back surface of the substrate using the anisotropic etching technique. The energy transducer and the orifice plate are formed in order above the ink channels using the coating and etching techniques. This thermal bubble inkjet print head manufacturing method is particularly useful in the all batch process without employing the steps of precision alignment joint for the orifice plate in a conventional inkjet print head. Therefore, the method can greatly increase production efficiency and lower production costs.

摘要: A semitransparent photovoltaic film is provided, including a flexible substrate that integrates a plurality of first and second planar portions, and a plurality of photovoltaic cells. An angle is also included correspondingly between the first and the second planar portions. The photovoltaic cells are formed on a plurality of surfaces of the first planar portions of the flexible substrate. According to a design of the semitransparent photovoltaic film, most directly incident sunlight is absorbed and then converted into electricity, and most of the lights progressing horizontally or on a upward slant can pass through the film, thereby achieving the transparent visual effect.
