    Abstract: Systems and methods are described herein for generating, modulating, and/or shaping a plurality of electron beams to be used in various lithography processes. In some aspects, multiple beams may be individually modulated to create a pattern which is projected onto a surface proximate to the source of the electrons. In other aspects, the multiple beams may be projected at a distance through a lensing system. Targets for the electron patterns include surfaces which react with the electrons to undergo chemical or structural change. In some aspects, a parallel electron multi-beam source is constructed using edge emitters formed where etching, cleaving, or other processes have created a surface perpendicular to the edge of one conductor which is adjacent to a thin insulator which separates it from a second conductor.

    Abstract: A control grid for a cathode including a plurality of grid cells, with each grid cell including a deflecting layer, an insulating layer and a grid layer. The deflecting layer is in contact with the cathode; the insulating layer is between the deflecting layer and the grid layer; and the grid layer is at a positive voltage relative to the cathode, such that a voltage gradient is created between the cathode and the grid layer which accelerates electrons emitted by the cathode away from the cathode.

    Abstract: A shoe fastener strap is provided that is able to releasably secure the shoes of a baby or toddler to pant legs of the baby or toddler so that the shoes do not fall off of the baby or toddler's feet and become lost or otherwise misplaced. The shoe fastener strap includes a first fastener that is used to releasably secure the shoe fastener strap to a pant leg, and it includes a second fastener which may be semi permanently secured to the back of a baby or toddler's shoe. The first fastener preferably is a clip-type fastener which also has a tab backing member that serves to help close the first fastener around a pant leg as well as to serve as a decorative emblem.

    Abstract: An aircraft-mounted base transceiver station (mBTS) for providing intermittent coverage in a cellular radio network. The mBTS utilizes the existing protocol of its terrestrial counterparts, thereby avoiding dual-mode devices and enabling common usage of terminal monitoring and device management systems for devices connected to a single radio access network even when outside terrestrial coverage areas. The aircraft follows a transient flight pattern, providing intermittent flyover connectivity for remote radio device such as machine-type devices. Connectivity may be store and forward. Channel usage may be adjusted to avoid interfering with terrestrial communication cells during flyover. Doppler effects due to aircraft speed may be accounted for. The mBTS may be configured to service in-range radio devices which are outside a Doppler-inhibited region and/or to prioritize communication with devices based on expected time outside the Doppler-inhibited region. An aircraft mounted antenna may have a radiation pattern focused toward devices outside the Doppler-inhibited region.

    Abstract: A device, system and method are provided for presenting message threads in a device display where messages may have a persistent or intermediate status. A list of message threads is displayed, collated according to a given message thread attribute, is displayed. When a new message is detected belonging to one of the message threads, if the message has a persistent status it is added to the message thread and the collating message thread attribute for that thread is updated. If the message has an intermediate status, it may be added to the message thread but the collating message thread attribute for that message is deferred until the intermediate status is changed to a persistent status. The collated list of message threads is then updated. By deferring updates to the collating message thread attribute when a message has an intermediate status, disruption to the order of the collated list is mitigated.
