Abstract:
This invention relates to a process involving hydrocracking and dewaxing of a feedstream in which a converted fraction can correspond to a majority of the product from the reaction system, while an unconverted fraction can exhibit improved properties. In this hydrocracking process, it can be advantageous for the yield of unconverted fraction for gasoline fuel application to be controlled to maintain desirable cold flow properties for the unconverted fraction. Catalysts and conditions can be chosen to assist in attaining, or to optimize, desirable product yields and/or properties.
Abstract:
Apparatuses, methods, and systems for transforming user identification information and user selection data inputs into a profile data output, a generated query output, search results output, and a secure home page with customized content. According to one embodiment, the method includes indexing disparately owned content via a multi-content owner spider indexing engine; generating a disparately owned content index from the indexing engine; receiving, by a first server, a request to access secure content through a network, the request including user identification information; automatically constructing a query based on the request without input from the user; providing the constructed query to the search engine and running the constructed query against the index; constructing a display by placing the results of the query sent from the search engine within a multi-source owner template interface; and providing the multi-source owner template interface to a requestor for display.
Abstract:
A pourer device for mounting to a mouth portion of bottles includes a mount portion and a guide chute. The guide chute includes a generally channel shaped body having a wider proximal entry portion adjacent the bottle neck and a main portion which converges to a narrower distal portion. The mount portion includes two generally half ring portions which allows the device to be mounted to the neck of any bottle and be removable therefrom and mounted to another bottle as needed.
Abstract:
A neuropathy diagnostic device includes a body having a neutral temperature surface disposed on an exterior of the body, a variable temperature surface disposed on the exterior of the body, and a vibrating surface having a variable vibration amplitude. The vibrating surface extends outwardly from the body. A touch sensor extends outwardly from the body. A processor is disposed within the body. The processor is adapted to set a temperature of the neutral temperature surface, vary a temperature of the variable temperature surface, and vary the vibration amplitude of the vibrating surface.
Abstract:
A method of measuring biaxial stress in an object of a ferromagnetic material in which material in a region (10) in the vicinity of a surface of the object is subjected to a conditioning method by application of a conditioning magnetic field that is at least initially at a high field strength. Values of biaxial stress within the said region are measured with an electromagnetic measuring probe (14) in at least two different orientations, the electromagnetic measuring probe (14) using an alternating measuring magnetic field that is at a field strength well below saturation. The conditioning may subject the region (10) to a low frequency alternating magnetic field (38, 58) initially at a high field strength, and gradually reducing the strength to zero over a decay time period at least equal to the time for many cycles of the low frequency magnetic field. Conditioning the material enables the stress to then be measured more accurately, and enables ambiguities in biaxial stress to be resolved.
Abstract:
Embodiments of the present invention disclose a gesture mapping method for a computer system including a display and a database coupled to a processor. According to one embodiment, the method includes storing a plurality of two-dimensional gestures for operating the computer system, and detecting the presence of an object within a field of view of at least two three-dimensional optical sensors. Positional information is associated with movement of the object, and this information is mapped to one of the plurality of gestures stored in the database. Furthermore, the processor is configured to determine a control operation for the mapped gesture based on the positional information and a location of the object with respect to the display.
Abstract:
A lightweight vehicle ladder for the recovery and traction of vehicles includes a central recessed portion (48) bordered by longitudinal strengthening ribs (56) and ramps (55) at either end. A plurality of traction members (52), each of which terminates in an upper tire engagement member (54) are disposed within the recessed portion and thereby somewhat protected from the ingress of mud during use in order that traction may be maintained. The underside and topside of the vehicle are formed with complementary shapes in order that a number of the ladders may be stacked one on top of the other to form a laminate of increased strength for application with particularly heavy vehicles.
Abstract:
The invention relates to hydrocarbon fluids having high purity with respect to at least one of sulfur species, nitrogen species, oxygenated species, and unsaturated species, particularly hydrocarbon fluids low in aromatics, a method of making said hydrocarbon fluids, a catalyst for use in said method, an apparatus whereby said method may be practiced, and uses of said fluids.
Abstract:
An apparatus for determining a health of radio-frequency transmitters each transmitting a transmitted signal during normal operation. The apparatus comprises a receiver for receiving received signals, each received signal responsive to a transmitted signal, a first element for determining signal parameters of each received signal, the signal parameters responsive to an operating condition of a transmitter, each transmitted signal and each associated received signal including an identifier of the transmitter that transmitted the transmitted signal, the apparatus using the identifier to link determined signal parameters with the transmitter that transmitted the transmitted signal and a second element for determining a health of the transmitter that transmitted the transmitted signal, the health responsive to a relationship between one or more signal parameters and a selected value or a range of selected values for each signal parameter.
Abstract:
A rigid, water-soluble container is made of an injection molded poly(vinyl alcohol) and/or a cellulose ether, which container encases a fabric care, surface care or dishwashing composition; and a capsule container comprising at least two components made of one or more material(s) that can be molded and which are water soluble or water dispersible or in which a substantial part of the surface of these components is water soluble or water dispersible so as to leave perforations throughout the wall when the capsular container is placed in contact with an aqueous environment. The container has one to six compartments, preferably one, two or three, the content of the various compartments being accessible to the aqueous environment when the capsular container is exposed to such an aqueous environment. The accessibility time of the various compartments is the same or different from one compartment to another compartment, with the proviso that the content of the container is not a fabric care, surface care or dishwashing composition.
