摘要: The invention relates to a method for setting at least one communication parameter of a communication module (28) of a charging station (10), used for communication, in particular wired communication, via an interface (18) of the charging station (10). The invention addresses the problem of enabling the at least one communication parameter to be set in the simplest manner possible, with significant reliability and great security. It is proposed according to the invention that: —a calibration device (56) is coupled to the interface (18), —authentication data is transmitted from the calibration device (56) to the communication module (28), —a value for the at least one communication parameter is transmitted from the calibration device (56) to the communication module (28), and —the at least one communication parameter is set by the communication module (28) depending on an evaluation of the authentication data by the communication module (28) according to the value transmitted.

摘要: A device and method are provided for clips or staples as an effective substitute for suture material when joining body tissue or covering body tissue with a mesh, such as is particularly used in fracture operations. The device for applying a medical lockable clip (1) in a tissue area, includes a) an automatic advancing mechanism oriented in the direction of the tissue area from a starting position and having a guide in the advancing direction for the clip, wherein the clip has two gripper teeth oriented in the advancing direction, b) a stop for the advancing mechanism, and c) a locking element displaceable with the advancing mechanism and having a locking mechanism on the clip side for locking the clip, wherein d) the locking element is displaceable together with and parallel to the advancing mechanism, and e) the stop does not limit the motion of the locking element.

摘要: The invention is based on the problem of devising a circuit arrangement (10) for protecting electronic devices from incorrect logic voltages, wherein this circuit arrangement delivers increased protection against overvoltages, so that this circuit arrangement could also be used in multi-channel fail-safe systems that satisfy, for example, Performance Level “e” according to DIN EN ISO 13849. The circuit arrangement (10) has an input terminal (80) for connecting a power supply device and at least one voltage converter (90) that delivers, on the output side, an adjustable logic voltage. A controllable switching element (70) is connected between the one or more voltage converters (90, 95) and the input terminal (80). Furthermore, a first monitoring device (20) is provided for monitoring the logic voltage. The first monitoring device (20) is constructed so that it triggers the opening of the switching element (70) when the logic voltage reaches or exceeds a predetermined threshold.

摘要: Drug delivery systems and biocompatible coatings for use with implantable stimulation devices such as cochlear implants have been developed. These drug delivery systems and coatings comprise polyhydroxyalkanoate (PHA) polymers and copolymers. The drug delivery systems may be used to deliver pharmacologically active substances, for example, directly from a cochlear implant to the inner ear. The coatings can impart lubricity to cochlear devices for ease of insertion of the electrodes. In the preferred embodiment, the drug delivery system comprises a polyhydroxyalkanoate polymer, and in the most preferred embodiment, the PHA polymer comprises poly(4-hydroxybutyrate) (P(4HB)) or copolymer thereof. A particularly preferred embodiment is where the silicone sheath of the cochlear implant electrodes has been surface modified, and coated with P(4HB), and the P(4HB) either contains a pharmacologically active substance or has been coated with such a substance.

摘要: A method for ascertaining a sought piece of information by involving a plurality of subscribers. The subscribers are set a search task by an initiator and the one or more subscribers that assist with delivering a sought piece of information have the prospect of a reward. Even subscribers that, although not delivering the sought piece of information, play a part in identifying the subscriber that delivers the sought piece of information have the prospect of a share of the reward.
