摘要: A spectral Doppler processor for an ultrasound system produces blood flow velocity estimates by processing a sequence of complex blood flow echo samples with an FFT algorithm. The FFT algorithm is executed with a long window of samples to produce velocity estimates with good velocity precision and is executed with a short window of samples to produce velocity estimates with good time precision. The long window algorithm is used when blood flow velocity is not changing rapidly, and the short window algorithm is used when blood flow velocity is changing rapidly.

摘要: An apparatus for detecting when a subject has exited an item of furniture is provided. The apparatus comprises a camera adapted to be arranged, when in use, below the underside of an item of furniture having an upper side for supporting a subject, the underside being opposite to the upper side, and a processing unit. The camera captures sequential images that do not include the upper side of the item of furniture, the images having a foreground corresponding to a region below the underside of the item of furniture and a background corresponding to a region adjacent the item. The processing unit receives images from the camera; detects, for each image, an edge corresponding to an edge of the item; detects the appearance of a feature contiguous with the edge; monitors how a detected feature changes over a time period; determines whether a change to the detected feature satisfies at least one predefined criterion for a subject exit event; and outputs a signal based on the determining.

摘要: A light emitting arrangement comprising two light emitting elements (32, 32a) arranged along a longitudinal direction of the light emitting arrangement, and at least one light guide (34) each partly covering the light emitting surface of a first of the light emitting elements and having an entrance surface (35) arranged to receive incident light from the first light emitting element (32) and an exit surface (36) arranged to emit at least a portion of the incident light received by the entrance surface. The light guide is arranged such that the exit surface (36) is located between the first light emitting element (32) and a second light emitting element (32a) and is oriented to emit light in the general lighting direction. The light guide will distribute light emitted by the first light emitting element to more than one location, as if it was emitted of several weaker light emitting elements.

摘要: Disclosed are methods and apparatus related to a LED-based lighting fixture having a touch-sensitive light emitting surface that may be touched by a user to change light output characteristics of LEDs of the lighting fixture. The LED-based lighting fixture may include a flexible touch-sensitive layer and a flexible light emitting layer having a plurality of individually controllable LED groups. Touch events may be detected via input from the flexible touch-sensitive layer and at least one light output characteristic of the LED groups altered in correspondence with the touch events.

摘要: The invention relates to the automatic rendering of a lighting scene with a lighting system, particularly the control of the rendering. A basic idea of the invention is to perform rendering of a lighting scene by decomposing a lighting atmosphere to be rendered in elementary light effects, to classify the elementary light effects, and to coordinate the realisation of the classified light effects with the lighting system. An embodiment of the invention provides a light control system (10) for automatically rendering a lighting atmosphere with a lighting system, wherein the light control system (10) is adapted for decomposing the lighting atmosphere to be rendered in elementary light effects (14; S10), classifying the elementary light effects into sets of light effects (16; S12), and coordinating the realisation of the sets of light effects with the lighting system (18; S14-S26). The present invention enables an automatic light control system to autonomously determining the lighting configuration settings needed by light modules of a lighting system to realise a desired lighting atmosphere whilst its elementary lighting effects are harmonically rendered.

摘要: A light emission device comprising a light emitting element, a wavelength conversion (e.g. phosphor) element, and a filter that reduces Color over Angle (CoA) effects by at least partially reflecting light from the light emitting element that strike the filter at near-normal angles of incidence. In some embodiments, a combined phosphor and filter layer is formed over the LED die. The filter may comprise a dispersion of self-aligning moieties, such as dielectric platelets in a film that is vacuum laminated to the LED structure. Xirallic® Galaxy Blue pigment, comprising an aluminium oxide core coated on both sides with thin films of SnO2, and TiO2, and Ronastar® Blue, comprising Calcium Aluminum Borosilicate and TiO2 may provide the dielectric platelets.
