Abstract: A Multi-Chip Module is presented herein that comprises a package substrate, at least two integrated circuit devices, each of which is electrically coupled to the package substrate, and an interposer. Formed in the interposer are electrical connections which are predominantly horizontal interconnects. The first interposer is arranged to electrically couple the two integrated circuit devices to each other. Methods for manufacturing a Multi-Chip Module are also presented herein.

Abstract: For improving the brightness decay of a display due to its aging, a non-volatile memory such as Flash can be used to store a brightness accumulation value of each point of the display, and each point can be compensated for its brightness accordingly. However, the non-volatile memory suffers from incorrect write-in data or temporary power disconnection, and thus the error will exist all the time to make the display non-even. Hence, the present invention uses a multiple data backups and CRC error detection, plus new/old data comparison to protect data the non-volatile memory from incorrect brightness compensation value so as to uniform the brightness of the display.

Abstract: A dialogue system and a speech dialogue operation method are provided. In the system, an inquiry speech signal is generated according to data for specific person and is transferred to a receiver. In response to the inquiry speech signal, a reply speech signal is generated by the receiver, and after the reply speech signal is recognized, a speech correspondence signal is obtained. A ID recognition procedure is performed according to the speech correspondence signal, and a dialogue control signal is generated according to the result of the ID recognition procedure, and accordingly, a response speech signal is generated and transferred to the receiver to continue or terminate the dialogue. When the receiver is recognized to be matched with the specific person, a message delivering procedure is performed to deliver a message to be transferred to the specific person to the receiver.

Abstract: A network information searching method for a search engine system is provided. The search engine system is capable of searching with a plurality of web-site search engines. First, a voice signal is processed for speech recognition to generate a literal word series, in which the voice signal conforms to a grammatical format and includes a designated group and a keyword. Then, the literal word series is analyzed according to the grammatical format, so as to retrieve the designated group and the keyword from the literal word series. The retrieved designated group and keyword are transmitted to the search engine system. The search engine system selects a suitable web-site search engine according to the designated group to search for the keyword online, and obtain a searched result thereby.

Abstract: A lock includes a body, a wheel, an outside spindle, and a locking plug. The outside spindle includes a front end having an extension not in contact with a circumferential wall defining a through-hole of the wheel. When the locking plug is in an unblocking position allowing retraction operation of a latch bolt, the front end of the outside spindle is engaged with the wheel to allow joint rotation of the outside spindle and the wheel. When the locking plug is moved from the unblocking position to the blocking position not allowing retraction operation of the latch bolt, movement of a push member pushes the front end of the outside spindle away from the through-hole of the wheel such that the front end of the outside spindle is disengaged from the circumferential wall of the through-hole of the wheel, thereby disengaging the outside spindle from the wheel.

Abstract: An escutcheon assembly for a lock includes a mounting plate and a cover plate. The mounting plate is mounted to a front face of a door. The mounting plate comprises a receiving section for receiving a lock body of a lock cylinder. The cover plate is securely mounted around the mounting plate. The cover plate comprises a figure-8-shaped through-hole aligned with a figure-8-shaped cross section of an interchangeable lock core removably mounted in the lock body.
