The SmCo-based magnetic fine particles of the invention include SmCo-based nanoparticles and a hydrophobic polymer covering at least part of the surfaces of the SmCo-based nanoparticles. The magnetic recording medium of the invention also has a magnetic layer comprising at least SmCo-based magnetic fine particles and a hydrophobic binder, wherein the SmCo-based magnetic fine particles include SmCo-based nanoparticles and a hydrophobic polymer covering at least part of the SmCo-based nanoparticle surfaces.

In the process of causing free fall through the interior of the furnace tube heated by the heater, ferrite powder, which is a single phase of hexagonal ferrite, is obtained by heating the precursor to a prescribed temperature and holding the precursor at the prescribed temperature.

Since the reinforcing member roughly L-shaped can be installed by inserting work thereof, it offers excellent workability. In addition, because the reinforcing member is arranged tightly along the inside surface of the groove, it will not interfere with the operation of inserting the high temperature cooling medium pipe of the refrigerating cycle into groove and offer excellent operability.
