    摘要: A fluorescent lamp includes a bulb defining a discharge channel, and a pair of discharge electrodes provided at both ends of the bulb. Each electrode has a pair of leads, a filament mounted between the leads, and rod-like auxiliary electrodes protruding from the leads, respectively. Each auxiliary electrode extends beyond the filament in the electron discharge direction of the discharge electrodes. Each auxiliary electrode is constructed so as to satisfy the following equation Q/I.sub.L .gtoreq.1.0.times.10.sup.-2, where Q is heat capacity of the auxiliary electrode and I.sub.L is lamp current.

    摘要: A low-pressure discharge lamp having a tubular glass lamp vessel 10, on an outer surface of which conductor layers are formed as electrodes 21 and 26. The ultrasonic solder dipping layers 31 and 36 are formed at both ends of the vessel 10 as conductor layers. The end surfaces of the glass lamp vessel are blasted and ultrasonic solder dipping layers are formed on the blasted surfaces 41 and 46 by ultrasonic solder dipping. Conductor layers form external electrodes 21 and 26, which are in contact with the glass surface more strongly. A low-pressure discharge lamp having the conductor layers of a uniform thickness can be mass-produced at low cost.

    摘要: A cleaning and drying apparatus comprises a vessel having a closed bottom and a side wall extending upwardly from the circumference of the bottom. The vessel has an inlet for introducing the discrete parts on the bottom of the vessel and an outlet formed in an upper end of the side wall for removing the parts out of the vessel. A spiral track is formed on the interior surface of the side wall to ascend therealong in a spiral manner about a vertical center axis of the vessel from the bottom to the outlet. A liquid line is connected to supply a cleaning liquid into the vessel. An level controller is provided to keep a level of the cleaning liquid in the vessel well below the outlet in such a manner as to divide the length of the spiral track into a drying zone immersed in the cleaning liquid and a drying zone disposed above the level. A vibrator is connected to apply vertical and circumferential vibrations which produces a driving force to feed the discrete parts upwardly along the spiral track to the outlet through the cleaning zone and continuously through the drying zone during which the discrete parts are washed by the cleaning liquid while being fed through the cleaning zone. A dryer is adapted to direct a forced hot air flow along the drying zone to remove the cleaning liquid from the surfaces of the parts.

The combination of the coil filament pair and the xenon gas sealed in the bulb at a prescribed pressure in the range of 20 Torr to 200 Torr may reduce visible changes in a luminance distribution of the lamp when the positive column fluctuates during the operation of the lamp.

    摘要: A low-pressure mercury vapor-filled discharge lamp has a glass arc tube and a glass outer tube disposed coaxially with the arc tube forming a space therebetween. A gas is disposed in the space. The arc tube contains a gas and is coated with a phosphor. A first seal hermetically seals the inner tube. A second seal seals the inner tube to the outer tube. The inner tube further contains a pair of cathodes coupled to Dumet wires extending from the interior of the inner tube to the outside of the lamp structure. The pressure in the space is set at not more than 1 Pa, which is nearly high vacuum. The longer the radial dimension of the space, the greater the heat retaining capacity and the better the temperature characteristics which can be obtained. However, by setting the pressure of the space at 1 Pa or less, the optimum heat retaining capacity can be obtained while reducing the diameter of the low-pressure mercury vapor filled discharge lamp 1.

    摘要: A cleaning and drying apparatus comprises a vessel having a closed bottom and a side wall extending upwardly from the circumference of the bottom.
