Abstract:
The present invention is directed to a method of preparing dehydrated blood products, comprising the steps of: (a) providing a hydrated blood product; (b) spray-drying the hydrated blood product to produce a dehydrated blood product, as well as dehydrated blood products made by the method. The present invention is directed to a method of treating a patient suffering from a blood-related disorder, comprising the steps of: (a) rehydrating a therapeutic amount of the dehydrated blood products to produce a rehydrated therapeutic composition; and (b) administering the rehydrated therapeutic composition to the patient. The present invention is directed to a bandage or surgical aid comprising the dehydrated blood products described above.
Abstract:
The present invention provides a variable direction surface with various angles and direction causing controlled disruption in the standard flight of a ball in play. The change in the ball flight will be used to funnel the ball to a specific area to minimize reach of activity for participants with limited range and mobility to expanding reach and creating unpredictable direction change for advances skilled participants. The flexibility allows ball delivery to any desired location depending on the abilities of the participants or the required outcome of participants program.
Abstract:
A method for applying moisture revealed indicia to glass and other surfaces is provided. In some embodiments, the method may include: polishing a surface; changing the moisture condensing properties of portions of the surface by applying a surface tension modifier agent to those portions of the surface; and polishing the portions of the surface to which the surface tension modifier agent has been applied. Upon exposure of the surface to moisture, such as in the form of steam generated by the use of hot water in the vicinity of the surface or by steam generators, portions of the moisture revealed indicia may be formed by moisture revealed contrast
Abstract:
A system for mounting a fuel injector to an engine casing with an aperture includes a fuel injector having a flange for mounting to the casing at the aperture. The flange allows it to pass through the aperture. An intermediate ring mediates the mounting of the flange to the casing at the aperture. The intermediate ring is inside the casing at the aperture and defines an opening from which the fuel injector extends into the engine with the flange positioned inward of the ring. The flange is dismountably sealed to an inner side of the ring, and the ring is dismountably sealed to an inner side of the casing to mount the fuel injector to the casing. On dismounting the flange from the ring, the fuel injector can be displaced to allow the ring, to be moved away from the aperture. The fuel injector can then be withdrawn.
Abstract:
A stent graft (1) including a tubular wall (3) with at least one fenestration (40) including a peripheral (37) reinforcement around at least part of the fenestration. There can also be a tubular extension (15). The side arm includes a stent (19) and a cover (17) and extends from and is in fluid communication with the fenestration and the stent graft. The stent may be a self expanding stent. The ring and/or tubular extension provides better support and sealing for an extension arm. The fenestration (40) can be circular or if towards the ends of the stent graft may be in the form of a U-shape (50) with an open end.
Abstract:
An accessory cap for a respiratory cartridge includes a housing having a front wall and a side wall which cooperate to define an interior cavity. The side wall includes a retaining formation configured and arranged to releasably engage and hold the housing on the respiratory cartridge. The housing includes a downwardly facing air passage configured to allow air to pass from an exterior environment to the interior cavity. The accessory cap further includes a pre-filter support web removably received within the interior cavity and spaced inwardly from the front wall. The housing and the pre-filter support web form a pre-filter cavity within the interior cavity adjacent to the front wall. The accessory cap can function as a standalone shower cap, or a pre-filter media can be optionally inserted into the pre-filter cavity so that the accessory cap functions as a combination pre-filter and a shower cap.
Abstract:
A robot server assembly (20) having a back panel (21), a ball feed collector plate (23) extending outwardly from the bottom of back panel with its horizontal plane positioned an angle relative to the longitudinal axis of the back panel (21), a rotatable ball pickup mechanism (24) positioned between a the ball collector mounting section (22) of the back panel and the ball feed collector plate and having a plurality of ball pickup structures (78, 80, 81, 82) extending into the collector plate; a ball guide (25) at the upper end of the back panel; a substantially transparent front cover (28) attached to the front surface of the back panel (21) and extending from the bottom of the ball guide (25) to ball pickup mechanism (24) to define an enclosed ball passageway (30); an oscillator (32) is mounted to the top of the back panel above the ball guide, with a serving head assembly (34) attached to the oscillator through a pivot guide (35). The robot server assembly (20) includes a digital controller (204) that operates multiple functions of the robot server assembly from a menu of functions and can be interfaced with a personal computer for the development of specialized drills.
Abstract:
A connector system comprising: a multi-plug connector, each plug having a housing and a ferrule, said housing having a front and back orientation and having a front face defining an opening, said ferrule being disposed within said opening, said housing defining a first keying element on said front face around said opening, at least two housings of said multi-plug connector having different said first keying elements.
Abstract:
Improved electron beam sterilization apparatus and shielding techniques for use in are provided. A controller modulates an electron beam when sterilizing an interior to an object to ensure that adequate dose is received. Sterilization carousels are configured with input/discharge feeds to reduce the possibility of humans being exposed to dangerous levels of radiation. The system reduces the amount of shielding required to thereby lower cost of installation.
Abstract:
An endoluminal stent graft deployment system incorporating an anchor wire system for temporary anchoring of a stent graft on a delivery device. The anchor wire system has an anchor wire extending from the distal end of the device and releasably retained to the portion of the stent graft by a releasable retention system. The releasable retention system includes a bead on the proximal end of the anchor wire and an anchor release wire which has fastening arrangement to retain the release wire distally of the bead. The anchor release wire extends to a distal end of the deployment system so that the anchor wire release wire can be withdrawn thereby releasing the anchor wire.
