Abstract:
A fault reasoning system combines both a model-based reasoning approach based upon predicted root causes of a plurality of fault signals, and a case-based reasoner that looks at the actual root cause of actual cases.
Abstract:
A flux coated brazing material wherein the flux coating composition is suitable for continuously coating a continuous length of brazing material. Aspects include a flux coating composition for coating or coring a brazing material useful as a flux coating for preparing a continuous length brazing material according to the described method.
Abstract:
A sports vision training device is formed from a piece of material having a thickness sufficient to interfere with an individual's ability to look down at a sporting object. The piece of material has an adhesive coating or layer for positioning the material on an individual's cheek, preferably beneath an individual's eye, so that the piece of material interferes with the individual's ability to look down at the sporting object. The sports vision training device has a thickness sufficient to direct the individual's vision toward the field of play and up and toward at least one player on the field of play, and in some cases permitting intermittent and/or momentary glances at the sports object being controlled by the individual.

Abstract:
A sycamore maple tree named ‘Tunpetti’ having unique foliage color. In summer, the upper leaf surface is dark green, and the underside is greyed burgundy in color with vibrant red petioles. The foliage changes to a superb bright yellow upper and warm pink lower surface color during autumn. The bark of ‘Tunpetti’ is uniform and smooth with only a slight scaliness and limited vertical fissuring. In addition, ‘Tunpetti’ has been observed to be exceptionally resistant to “tar spot”, a leaf disease common amongst Aceraceae.
Abstract:
A method of manufacture and assembly of multiwell plates employing targeted radiation at an interface in order to achieve bonding is disclosed. The method accommodates glass and polymer attachment as well as polymer to polymer attachment. Resultant plates have unique flatness and optical properties.
Abstract:
Methods of protein production in a linked culture and production bioreactor system are provided. Such methods include a culture bioreactor (N-1 bioreactor) linked to production bioreactor (N bioreactor). More specifically, the methods include (a) culturing cells with a gene that encodes the protein of interest in a continuous perfusion culture bioreactor (N-1 bioreactor); inoculating a continuously stirred tank reactor (CSTR) production bioreactor (N bioreactor) with cells obtained from step (a); and culturing the cells in the CSTR production bioreactor under conditions that allow production of the protein of interest.
Abstract:
A siphoning operation is controlled to meet a target flow rate of liquid being siphoned into a container having a headspace to which a vacuum is induced with an ejector. The incremental mass of liquid siphoned into the container is monitored and the vacuum applied to the container is continuously adjusted. A vacuum regulator responsive to an electric current-to-pressure converter which is coupled to a control unit is provided to control the flow of pressurized fluid delivered to the ejector.
