The present invention relates to the Synthesis of Triterpenoid peptides and mechanism of action for Anti ageing and skin care. The present invention is directed towards anti-aging skin care compositions comprising peptides which are made by linking herbal actives to a pentapeptide for enhanced anti ageing activity by regenerating the dermal matrix. In detail, the present invention relates to the synthesis of Triterpenoid peptides, providing an enhanced and synergistic activity for reducing the consequences of ageing such as appearance of fine expression lines and wrinkles on the skin by cosmetic modes of application. The Triterpenoid peptides of the present invention with its novel dual action mode can be used for skin ageing & collagen insufficiency. Its Triterpenoid group acts by preventing oxidation and excess activity of serine proteases like elastase and collagenase that result in wrinkling of skin. With added peptides which boost the collagen and other matrix protein, Triterpenoid peptides provide a complete protection against pre mature ageing and functions as a best anti ageing ingredient.

Disclosed are novel, synthetic analogues of (1E,6E)-1,7-Bis(4-hydroxy-3-methoxyphenyl)-1,6-heptadiene-3,5-dione and the therapeutic applications for cystic fibrosis thereof in correcting altered CFTR trafficking and the associated impaired chloride (Cl−) ion transport. Introduction of branched-alkyl groups ortho to the phenolic groups gave rise to clinical compounds with vastly improved trafficking of delF508CFTR and with no cytotoxicity.

The present invention relates to a composition containing peptide of SEQ ID NO: 1 linked to oleanolic acid and a method of treating skin aging. The composition effectively reduces signs of ageing due to oxidation, collagen insufficiency and excess activity of serine proteases like elastase and collagenase that result in wrinkling of skin, fine expression lines, reduced skin thickness, hyperpigmentation, under eye dark circles, and premature ageing.

Disclosed are novel protective compositions for dermal papilla cells. In an embodiment the protective compositions of the present invention comprise 0.25% w/w or above of compositions comprising at least 10% w/w and above of 1-O-galloyl-β-D-glucose (β-glucogallin). In an embodiment, the said protective composition additionally comprises 50% to greater than 50% gallates including mucic acid 1,4-lactone 5-O-gallate, mucic acid 2-O-gallate, mucic acid 6-Methyl ester 2-O-gallate, mucic acid 1-Methyl ester 2-O-gallate and ellagic acid. In another embodiment the invention also encompasses synergistic protective compositions comprising the said protective compositions and 0.5% concentrate of liquid endosperm of Cocos nucifera, for dermal papilla directed towards helping the dermal papilla cells to form sufficient numbers and to retain a healthy morphology conducive for hair growth.

Disclosed are (i) a standardized method for the recovery of the polyphenolic contents from the seed coats of Tamarindus indica L. (ii) a standardized polyphenolic extract (10%-90%) from the seed coat of Tamarindus indica L. (standardized Indian date extract) and uses thereof as oral/topical, “skin care” and “hair care” nutra-cosmetic formulations. The standardized Indian Date extract of the present invention exhibits anti-collagenase, anti-elastase, anti-5-alpha-reductase and anti-hyaluronidase activities. The standardized Indian date extract of the present invention is suitable for oral/topical, “skin care” and “hair care” nutra-cosmetic formulations either singly or as “cosmetic blends” with other carefully chosen natural plant actives.
