摘要: Gene therapy for a retinal disease, injury, or condition in a subject involves administering to the subject a pharmaceutical composition containing a recombinant adeno-associated viral vector encoding at least one heat shock protein, such as Hsp27. A recombinant adeno-associated viral vector can include a promoter sequence that induces production of a heat shock protein specifically in retinal ganglion cells. The loss of such cells causes retinal damage and loss of eyesight in patients afflicted with an ocular condition. The disclosed viral vector may be included in pharmaceutical compositions that may be administered intravitreally using an administration device. A single injection 10 may be therapeutically sufficient for treating various ocular conditions.

摘要: Disclosed herein are compositions, methods, and systems useful in the prevention, management, or treatment of various conditions associated the lymphatic vasculature, including, but not limited to lymphedema. The disclosed methods and compositions are useful in reducing the activity of p53 in a subject at risk for or suffering from a disease or condition associated with lymphatic vasculature, including adults, children, infants, and embryos. Reduction in p53 activity may be achieve through reduction in one or more of p53 gene expression, p53 transcriptional activity, p53 DNA-binding affinity, etc. In many embodiments, the disease or condition is lymphedema, for example lymphedema associated with Milroy's disease, Klippel-Trenaunay and Cloves Syndromes. In many embodiments, treatment may involve administering a compound or pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof to a subject in need thereof, exemplary compounds include, anti-p53 compounds, PFT, and PFT-β.

摘要: Systems and methods for contagion mapping are disclosed herein. An implementation of the contagion modeling system based on a thermal depth video capture is disclosed. The modelling system includes two CO2 thermal depth imaging cameras connected to a processor. The CO2 thermal depth imaging cameras are configured so that they have fields of view within a modeling area. The modeling area includes a stationary object, a moving object and a gaseous fluid source, which is a contagion source.

摘要: An integrated occupancy sensing system includes one or more radio frequency identification (RFID) sensor nodes and one or more base station units. Each of the one or more RFID sensor nodes includes at least one of (1) an image sensor, (2) an acoustic energy sensor, (3) a temperature sensor, (4) an illuminance sensor, or (5) a relative humidity sensor. Each of the one or more base station units is configured to be connected to a power source to emit a continuous wave carrier signal and to receive a reflected signal. Each of the one or more RFID sensor nodes is configured to receive and reflect the continuous wave carrier signal. In response to receiving the reflected signal from the one or more RFID sensor nodes, at least one of the base station units is configured to infer the likelihood of human occupancy in the building.

摘要: Described herein are systems and methods for treatment of various airborne or surface-associated contaminants in which UV aerosol technology is combined with the use of hydrogen peroxide vapor or aerosol to create potent airborne concentrations of reactive oxygen-containing radicals that react with the airborne or surface-associated contaminants to inactivate, disinfect, oxidize, rearrange, ablate and/or otherwise treat these materials and thereby achieve disinfection of indoor air and/or surfaces. This technology is referred to herein as peroxide-enhanced germicidal irradiation (PEGI).
