Abstract:
The invention provides a charge pump circuit which reduces rise time of an output current even when an input signal is of high frequency. PMOS1 and PMOS2 have gates connected to each other, and the gate of the PMOS1 is connected to the drain thereof. A supply potential (Vdd) is applied to the sources of the PMOS1 and the PMOS2, and the PMOS1 and the PMOS2 form a current mirror circuit. First and second switching elements and a first constant-current source are connected to the drain of the PMOS2. A connection point (a node) of the first switching element and the second switching element is connected to an output terminal. The drain of the PMOS1 is connected to the first constant-current source through a third switching element, and connected to a second constant-current source through a fourth switching element.
Abstract:
A digital copier using a laser card or like external storing medium for storing image data. A remaining amount of memory capacity of a laser card is displayed in terms of the number of papers of a particular size or by percent. Based on the remaining amount of capacity, image data are compressed and reduced, the reduction ratio being also recorded in the card. When the contents of a series of documents cannot be accommodated in a single card, the first card is provided with a mark which shows that the second card is to follow.
Abstract:
A drive apparatus for an optical element array includes a counter counting clock pulses and being periodically reset at a horizontal scanning period. The counter outputs first and second counter signals out of phase with each other. A latch holds a pixel-corresponding segment of an input image signal. One of clock signals out of phase with each other is selected in response to the pixel-corresponding input-signal segment held by the latch. A first comparator compares the first counter signal and the pixel-corresponding input-signal segment held by the latch, and outputs a first identity signal when the first counter signal and the pixel-corresponding input-signal segment are equal to each other. A second comparator compares the second counter signal and the pixel-corresponding input-signal segment held by the latch, and outputs a second identity signal when the second counter signal and the pixel-corresponding input-signal segment are equal to each other. A drive pulse is generated which starts in synchronism with a start of a horizontal scanning period and which ends in response to the selected clock signal and in response to the first and second identity signals. An optical element in the array is driven in response to the drive pulse.
Abstract:
A number of embodiments of cooling systems for internal combustion engines powering marine watercraft wherein the engine cooling jacket delivers its coolant to an exhaust manifold cooling jacket adjacent the inlet end of the exhaust manifold and wherein coolant is delivered from the exhaust manifold cooling jacket to a further cooling jacket around the inlet portion of an exhaust elbow. In one embodiment, a closed cooling system is provided for the engine cooling jacket, exhaust manifold cooling jacket and the elbow cooling jacket. In another embodiment, the system discharges coolant back to the body of water in which the watercraft is operating through a further cooling jacket of the exhaust elbow that communicates with its discharge end.
Abstract:
A number of embodiments of cooling water feed structures for inboard/outboard engines wherein the outboard drive includes a first conduit that extends through the outboard drive and communicates with an adjustably mounted second conduit. The adjustable mounting of the second conduit adapts it to use with any of a plurality of engine types having different water inlet locations.
Abstract:
A method of applying magnification changing processing to an image in a digital copier or the like. The processing consists of subprocessing which is effected by operating optics of a scanner, and subprocessing which is effected by space filter processing of the kind using a threshold matrix. When digital video data read by the scanner on a pixel basis and quantized with respect to multiple levels are to be binarized by the space filter processing, the size of the threshold matrix is changed to roughly change the magnification. A delicate change of magnification is performed by the operation of the optics while the scanner reads the image.
Abstract:
[Problem] To provide a termite control device that does not require frequent checking of the device and that reduces the cost burden associated with providing a service. [Solution] The termite control device according to the present invention comprises: a cartridge having a structure including a member composed of a material that is resistant to decay or corrosion in soil and that is resistant to feeding damage by termites, thereby reducing feeding damage by termites, the structure having a passage through which the termites can move, and the structure containing an unavoidable, slow-acting insecticide active ingredient; and a container that is able to accommodate the cartridge and that is composed of a resin, a metal, a ceramic, or a composite of these materials. The container has a lid that can be opened and closed on the top surface thereof, and that has a plurality of through-holes or slits in a side surface thereof through which termites can enter.
Abstract:
A digital copier capable of switching the pixel density of an image to be printed out. A laser printer installed in a writing section of the copier is also usable for printing out image data fed from another machine which may be operatively connected to the copier. A switching device is provided for switching the pixel density of an image to be printed out over to one of a plurality of pixel densities which matches with the particular machine connected to the copier. The switching device selects either one of at least two lenses included in illuminating optics of the laser printer and each having a different focal length, or selectively moves a single lens of the illuminating optics to any of a plurality of stop positions which are defined on an optical axis of the optics, or selectively changes the illumination time of a laser beam of the laser printer, or selectively changes the rotation speed of a mirror motor adapted to drive a polygonal mirror of the laser printer.
Abstract:
A coupling for a marine outboard drive for coupling the engine output shaft to the input shaft of the outboard drive. The coupling is formed of a composite member having a molded hub portion that defines a curved recess and a sheet metal member that is affixed to the hub member and which is adapted to be affixed to the engine output shaft. An elastomeric member is received in the recess of the hub member and supports an internally splined member that has a splined connection to the input shaft of the outboard drive.
Abstract:
