The first portion of the spacing has a width greater than the width of the second portion of the spacing.
Abstract:
A new three-way, two-position in-tube solenoid gas valve assembly comprises a modified in-tube solenoid gas valve and a pair of gas release valves is designed to control pneumatic systems. The modified in-tube solenoid gas valve is a modification based on the previous invention by Wang et al., U.S. Ser. No. 10/924,789. The new modifications are first adding a rod-piston assembly onto the solenoid assembly, a new inlet was added to the valve tube and two outlet fittings were also added. With these modifications, the systems can now work with two directions of gas flows, which is important to control pneumatic systems. To be able to control pneumatic systems properly, two gas release valves are included as part of the assembly. The goal of these two gas release valves is to be able to release gas from pneumatic quickly and completely. These gas release valves are operated based on two compression springs and through gas inputs into the valves. The operations of the gas releases valves are simultaneously while one opens the other closes. The opening and the closing of the gas release valve depends on the state of the modified solenoid gas valve.
Abstract:
A method for strengthening glass and a glass using the same are provided. The method for strengthening glass includes the following steps. Firstly, a glass substrate, which has a first surface and a second surface opposite to the first surface, is provided. Next, a barrier film is formed on at least one of the first surface and the second surface. Then, the glass substrate with the barrier film is immersed in a strengthening solution. The strengthening solution includes first ions, and the barrier film can limit the first ions in the quantity entering the glass substrate.

Abstract:
A tube defines a cavity. Normally-open fitting (2) and normally-closed fitting (3) are respectively fitted into the tube to form ports (34),(35) having seats (40),(13). A body secured to fitting (3) defines a chamber (26) to which port (35) leads. Body (4) defines holes (27),(30) leading into chamber (26). A solenoid assembly (6) is slidable within chamber (26), includes a coil, segregates chamber (26) to chambers (7),(29) which communicate respectively with holes (27),(30) and defines a chamber (16), a seat (18), a seal (14) and an orifice (33) leading between seat (18) and seat (13). A rod-piston assembly includes a rod (37) attached to: assembly (6), sealably passing through body (4) into cavity and preventing gas communication between cavity and chamber (7); and a piston with a seal (39). A magnetic rod (15) slides within chamber (16). Spring (17) urges rod (15) towards seat (18) to seal orifice (33). Spring (12) urges assembly (6) towards seat (13) to seal port (35). The coil moves rod (15) and assembly (6). Assembly (6) and the rod-piston assembly are movable between positions wherein: the piston seals against seat (40); and wherein seal (14) seals against seat (13).
Abstract:
A blade assembly for a horizontal-axis wind turbine includes a hub, and a plurality of detachable blade units each mounted on a periphery of the hub and each including a plurality of blades detachably connected with each other by a plurality of connecting devices. Thus, the blade assembly comprises a hub and a plurality of detachable blade units so that all parts of the blade assembly are detachable to reduce the whole volume of the blade assembly before assembly, thereby facilitating packaging, storage and transportation of the blade assembly.
Abstract:
An improved pilot-operated, “instant-on”, solenoid isolation valve discloses a new fluid passage route to save cost of drilling a longitudinal hole within the primary piston. Also, a new feature of primary piston assembly with a movable seal piston having a specific circumferential surface matching to valve body chamber to restrict fluid from front side into back side of the primary piston to produce pressure difference to induce instant valve open when solenoid is energized initially. It also introduces a channel hole in the flange of the sleeve assembly as a communication channel of supply of gas into the chambers of the back side of primary piston assembly. The diameter of the channel hole is not critical to determine in this new invent. As long as the size of the hole is smaller than that of the bleed hole, it can maintain pressure difference between the front side and back side of primary piston during valve opening operation. In addition, since the pilot piston and the primary piston assembly operate independently, the travel stroke of the primary piston assembly is unconstrained by the input electrical power.
