摘要： A phenolic resin composition is described comprising at least 50 wt.-% of phenolic resin; first polymerized units comprising a cationic group; and second polymerized units comprising an anionic group. The cationic groups are ionically bonded to the anionic groups. The ionic bonding of the cationic group and anionic group of the polymerized units can provide certain complex viscosity and/or tan delta properties. In some embodiments, the phenolic resin composition has a complex viscosity at 65C of at least 50 Pascal(seconds) and/or has a tan delta at 65C ranging from 0.5 to 2.5. Abrasive articles and methods of making an abrasive article are also described.

摘要： Adhesive compositions are provided comprising: a) a base resin comprising an epoxy resin; b) a first epoxy curative; and c) a second epoxy curative; wherein the first and second epoxy curatives are chosen such that the second epoxy curative may remain substantially unreacted in the composition under conditions of temperature and duration that render the first epoxy curative substantially reacted with epoxy resin in the composition. In some embodiments, the first epoxy curative is substantially reacted with epoxy resin in the composition and the second epoxy curative is substantially unreacted in the composition. In some embodiments, the adhesive composition is used in the form of an adhesive film.

摘要： A coated abrasive article comprises a backing having first and second opposed major surfaces, a make layer disposed on at least a portion of the first major surface and bonding abrasive particles to the backing, a size layer overlaid on at least a portion of the make layer and the abrasive particles, and an optional supersize layer. At least one of the size layer or the optional supersize layer comprises an at least partially cured resole phenolic resin and an organic polymeric rheology modifier, and wherein the amount of the at least partially cured resole phenolic resin comprises from 75 to 99.99 weight percent of the combined weight of the at least partially cured resole phenolic resin and the organic polymeric rheology modifier. A method of making the coated abrasive article is also disclosed.
