Abstract: The disclosed technology is directed towards devices (nonhuman entities) participating in social networks. Devices that join a nonhuman social network can share information, can learn from other devices, can assist in performing tasks and so forth. A device can search for an existing nonhuman social network that matches its criteria for joining a nonhuman social network, such as a nonhuman social network of the same type of devices, a nonhuman social network within a certain neighborhood, and so on. A device can form a nonhuman social network if one does not exist that meets the device's social network join criteria. A device's user may need to give approval to join and/or form a social network. A human social network can interact with a nonhuman social network, and there can be hybrid social networks of both human and nonhuman entities. A device can change social networks over time.

Abstract: The disclosed technology relates to detection of attention exhibited by a second user to a first user's avatar in a virtual reality environment. A first user's avatar activity and the second user's activity are evaluated to determine the second user's (e.g., via another avatar) attention level directed towards first user's avatar. Information can be sent to notify the first user that the second user's attention level has satisfied attention-level criterion data. For example, if the second user is viewing and/or is within audio range of the first user for too long of a time or too frequently, then the first user can be notified and/or other action taken. Remedial action is available for negative attention, such blocking the second user from experiencing the first user in the environment. Detection of attention for positive purposes is available, such as to reward an influencer whose avatar is receiving significant attention from followers.

Abstract: The disclosed technology is directed towards creating a media content presentation for playback, based on user specified input criteria and playback instructions. A user specifies input criteria related to media source data. The media source data is accessed, and further based on the input criterion, matching segments (e.g., scenes and audio) are determined from metadata information that describes the segments; the media playback content is generated from the matching segments. A user may also specify criteria/instructions that describe how to play the matching segments, such as in linear order, or based on relative relevance such as scene impactfulness. A matching scene can be repeated, and/or augmented with annotation data. For any matching scene or transition between two matching scenes, specified playback speed and audio volume can be specified and applied. As part of generation, the media content presentation can be fit to a specified time constraint.

Abstract: Aspects of the subject disclosure may include, for example, constructing a vehicle record for a driverless vehicle that indicates capabilities of the vehicle for responding in an emergency; receiving an alert regarding an incident; analyzing a database to identify available vehicles for responding to the incident; selecting a vehicle from the available vehicles in accordance with selection criteria including a current vehicle location and capabilities of the vehicle; directing the selected vehicle to the incident location; directing the selected vehicle to perform one or more actions to respond to the incident; receiving data from the selected vehicle regarding performance of the actions; analyzing the data to evaluate the performance; and generating a report of the incident including an indication of the performance. Other embodiments are disclosed.

Abstract: The disclosed technology is directed towards presenting a medical practitioner with information that assists the practitioner in communicating with a given patient. Baseline data describing a medical patient is obtained, such as from one or more previous visits. The baseline data can be compared with current data, e.g., sensed by patient biosensors and/or discerned from a current video of the patient during the visit. Historical and/or known healthy data can be used as baseline data. Interaction data representing an interaction (e.g., a conversation during a current visit) between the medical practitioner and the medical patient is determined. Based on the baseline data and the interaction data, during the interaction between the medical practitioner and the medical patient the medical practitioner can be presented with coaching data to assist the medical practitioner in communicating with the patient.

Abstract: A processing system may obtain first inputs from at least one sensor device, where the first inputs comprise at least a first visual input, apply the first inputs to a monitoring model for monitoring a particular type of movement activity of a user, the monitoring model configured to detect at least one trigger condition, and obtain an output of the monitoring model in accordance with the first inputs, the output indicates the at least one trigger condition is detected. The processing system may next obtain second inputs from the at least one sensor device, the second inputs comprising at least a second visual input, apply the second inputs to a recovery model associated with the at least one trigger condition, obtain an output of the recovery model in accordance with the second inputs, the output indicating an advancement along a therapy progression, and present a notification of the advancement.
