Gate electrodes of the TFTs and scan lines have a first multilevel conductive structure. Common electrodes and common lines may have the first multilevel conductive structure. Source and drain electrodes of the TFTs and signal lines may have a second multilevel conductive structures. Each of the first and second multilevel conductive structures includes a three-level TiN/Ti/Al or TiN/Al/Ti structure or a four-level TiN/Ti/AI/Ti structure. Each of the TiN film of the first and second structures has a nitrogen concentration of 25 atomic % or higher. The Al file may be replaced with an Al alloy.

An interterminal anti-short-circuiting pattern is formed in an upper metal wire included in a connection terminal 3, for connecting to external driving LSI and the like, located on the projected portion of a bottom glass substrate 2. This pattern includes recess 4 and island 5 on which a contact hole 12a is formed through a protective insulating film. The protective insulating film has high residence to water penetration. Spread of the corrosion can be shut off by the recess surrounding the island. Short circuit occurrence due to interterminal current leak can be inhibited under high moisture conditions in the semiconductor device used for active matrix display, e.g. LCD panel.

The semiconductor bodies (1) are connected to the pattern electrode with wires (9), and a portion enclosing at least the wires (9) is filled with a silicone gel (11). This permits the semiconductor device of large capacity to be reduced in size and to have an improved durability.

The video signal processing apparatus comprises a luminance difference detecting part and an interpolation part. The luminance difference detecting part performs a detecting operation to detect a luminance difference between two luminance data which are belonged respectively to two mutually adjacent picture elements in the same line and are among the picture element data which correspond to one field. When the luminance difference detecting part detects a luminance difference between the two luminance data during two or more consecutive detecting operations, the interpolation part replaces one luminance data out of the two luminance data in which the luminance difference is detected by the other luminance data.
