摘要: A fluid path set including a multi-patient use section adapted for connection with a pump device and a source of injection fluid, and a per-patient use section adapted for removable fluid communication with the multi-patient use section. The per-patient use section includes a pressure isolation mechanism having a first port adapted for connection to the pump device via the multi-patient use section, a second port adapted for connection to a patient, and a pressure isolation port adapted for connection to a source of medical fluid via the multi-patient use section. The per-patient use section includes a valve member biased to a normally open position permitting fluid communication between the first port, the second port, and the pressure isolation port, and movable to a closed position to close the pressure isolation port when fluid pressure reaches a predetermined pressure level sufficient to overcome a biasing force applied to the valve member.

摘要: A medical connector for delivering a liquid at a high flow rate to a patient. The connector includes a gas inlet passage that is configured for connecting to a source of pressurized gas, a spike configured for piercing a stopper of a container, and a liquid outlet passage in fluid communication with the spike. The liquid outlet passage is configured for connecting to tubing through which the liquid in the container can be administered to a patient. The spike has a shield having a first closed end and a second open end such that the first closed end is breakable by the spike when the spike is inserted through the stopper of the container, and the second open end has an annular elastomeric member that attaches to the spike via compressive pressure applied by the annular elastomeric member.

摘要: A fluid connector includes an extending section including a spiked end to pierce the container port. The extending section includes at least one air conduit and at least one fluid conduit therethrough. The extending section further includes a first abutment member and second abutment member. The first abutment member is adapted to abut a first or air side of the container port upon piercing of the container port. The second abutment member is spaced from the first abutment member and is adapted to abut a second or fluid sided of the container port. The fluid connector can further include grasping members extending from the extending section to facilitate rotation of the extending section relative to the container port during piercing thereof. The fluid connector can also include a check valve in fluid connection with the air line. In several embodiments, the check valve is positioned within the extending section.

摘要: An integrated radiopharmaceutical patient treatment system is disclosed including a patient support platform with an associated patient stimulus apparatus, an imager proximate the patient support platform, a radiopharmaceutical fluid delivery system for infusing a radiopharmaceutical fluid into a patient, a patient monitor to be associated with a patient, and an integrated system controller operably associated with the patient stimulus apparatus, imager, radiopharmaceutical fluid delivery system, and patient monitor to control and coordinate their operations. Within the patient treatment system the radiopharmaceutical fluid delivery system may be included comprising a radionuclide supply module, a radiopharmaceutical processing module, a quality control module, a patient injection module, and a controller. A hazardous fluid handling system including a docking station and a hazardous fluid transport device adapted to detachably dock with the docking station is further disclosed.
