Disclosed are methods and compositions for inhibiting the growth of a tumor (e.g., a malignant tumor) in a subject. In particular, combination therapies for treating a tumor in a subject by co-administering either i) an effective amount of an anti-estrogen agent or ii) an effective amount of a receptor tyrosine kinase inhibitor and an effective amount of a bispecific anti-ErbB2/anti-ErbB3 antibody, and optionally an effective amount trastuzumab. Also disclosed is a bispecific anti-ErbB2/anti-ErbB3 antibody for use in the therapy of a tumor in combination with either i) an anti-estrogen agent or ii) a receptor tyrosine kinase inhibitor, and optionally in use with trastuzumab.

Provided are methods for overcoming resistance to an ErbB pathway inhibitor, such as an EGFR inhibitor or a HER2 inhibitor. The resistance may be acquired resistance to an EGFR inhibitor, such as acquired resistance to gefitinib. In the methods provided, a subject exhibiting resistance to an ErbB pathway inhibitor is selected and both an ErbB 3 inhibitor and a second ErbB pathway inhibitor are administered to the subject, such as an EGFR inhibitor or a HER2 inhibitor. Also provided are methods for inhibiting the growth of a tumor comprising a T790M EGFR mutation by contacting the tumor with an ErbB3 inhibitor and an EGFR inhibitor. Compositions for overcoming resistance to an ErbB pathway inhibitor, comprising both an ErbB 3 inhibitor and a second ErbB pathway inhibitor, such as an EGFR inhibitor or a HER2 inhibitor, are also provided.

The subject invention pertains to transgenic non-human animals comprising a transgenic nucleotide sequence, integrated into the genome of the animals, comprising a nucleotide sequence encoding human FKBP51 operably linked to a tetracycline response element. In some embodiments, the transgenic animal comprises an additional transgenic nucleotide sequence, integrated into the genome of the animal, comprising a nucleotide sequence encoding a tetracycline transactivator (tTA) operably linked to a promoter; wherein the tTA is expressed upon activation of the promoter and binds the tetracycline response element, thereby causing expression of FKBP51. The invention also pertains to methods for screening for agents for the prevention and/or treatment of psychiatric disorders, such as depression.

A processing device provides a method for protecting a program from unauthorized copying. The processing device may include an encrypted version of the program. According to one example method, the processing device creates a secure enclave, and in response to a request to execute the encrypted program, the processing device automatically generates a decrypted version of the program in the secure enclave by decrypting the encrypted program in the secure enclave. After automatically generating the decrypted version of the program in the secure enclave, the processing device may automatically execute the decrypted version of the program in the secure enclave. This invention involves with a low power IC (Integrated Circuit) with high energy efficiency. This invention describes a Buck converter that can track the minimum energy point of the load. It works by estimating input energy of every sensing period, taking advantage of energy consumption curve of IC in sub-threshold. Energy estimation is implemented with counting conducted pulses, while maintaining constant input energy of each pulse by regulating output voltage and ON time with digital control circuit. With digital control circuit, minimum energy point can be tracked with a lookup table stored inside. Most of this invention's control circuit is digital, with benefits of low power consumption and small chip area.
