摘要: Provided are methods of producing carbonyl compounds (e.g., carbonyl containing compounds) and catalysts for producing carbonyl compounds. Also provided are methods of making polymers from carbonyl compounds and polymers formed from carbonyl compounds. A method may produce carbonyl compounds, such as, for example α,α-disubstituted carbonyl compounds (e.g., α,α-disubstituted β-lactones). The polymers may be produced from α,α-disubstituted β-lactones, which may be produced by a method described herein.

摘要: The present invention relates to a thermoplastic elastomer composition which comprises a branched olefin copolymer comprising: a main chain of an ethylene/α-olefin copolymer; and a side chain derived from a crystalline propylene polymer containing a vinyl group at one end, wherein the content of α-olefin in the main chain is 70 mol % or less, the composition has an elongation at break of 500% or higher, and has an elastic recovery rate of 70% or more when recovering from an extension to 300% elongation, and a process for manufacturing the same.

摘要: Provided are compositions comprising isotactic polyethers. Methods of making isotactic polyethers, and uses thereof are also disclosed. Also provided are bimetallic complexes that can be used as catalyst. Methods of making isotactic polyethers and bimetallic complexes and uses thereof are also disclosed. For example, a racemic bimetallic (salalen)CrCl polymerization catalyst was prepared and used alkyl diol, PO-oligomer triols, and aPPO and PCL diols as CSAs in order to produce α,ω-hydroxy telechelic iPPO. These telechelic polymers have controlled molecular weights and are semicrystalline. Amorphous α,ω-hydroxy telechelic PPO can also be produced by increasing the reaction temperature in conjunction with the use of CSAs.

摘要: A polymer electrolyte composition includes a hard polymer segment covalently bound to an ionically-conducting segment, and a salt that includes an element M selected from an alkali metal, an alkaline earth metal, zinc, and aluminum. The hard polymer segment has a glass transition temperature (Tg) greater than or equal to 110° C., or a melting temperature (Tm) greater than 110° C. The ionically-conducting segment has a molecular weight of 800 to 10,000 g/mol. The polymer electrolyte composition has an ionic conductivity for an M ion greater than or equal to 1×10−8 S/cm at 25° C. Methods for the preparation of the polymer electrolyte composition are also provided, as are articles (e.g., electrochemical cells and energy storage devices) that contain the polymer electrolyte composition.
