The present invention relates to a coated pigment comprising a composite particle containing a metal particle and one or two or more coating layers on the surface of the metal particle, wherein (1) at least one of the coating layers is a silicon compound-containing layer, and (2) the proportion of aggregates formed by adhesion of at least four of the composite particles with each other is not more than 35% by number.-

摘要: An article for high temperature service is presented. The article includes a substrate and a thermal barrier coating disposed on the substrate. The thermal barrier coating includes a plurality of aluminum-based particles dispersed in an inorganic binder, wherein the aluminum-based particles are substantially spaced apart from each other via the inorganic binder such that the thermal barrier coating is substantially electrically and thermally insulating. Method of making the article is also presented.

摘要: Resin particles include resin base particles and silica particles on surfaces of the resin base particles. The silica particles contain a quaternary ammonium salt and have hydrophobized surfaces. A difference (detection temperature A−detection temperature B) between a detection temperature A and a detection temperature B is more than 50° C., where the detection temperature A is a detection temperature from a pyrolysis product of the quaternary ammonium salt determined by pyrolysis mass spectrometry of the resin particles before cleaning, and the detection temperature B is a detection temperature from the pyrolysis product of the quaternary ammonium salt determined by pyrolysis mass spectrometry of the resin particles after cleaning.

The scaly metal pigment has a 50% volume average diameter of at least 0.05 μm and less than 0.5 μm, an average thickness of at least 5.0 nm and less than 50.0 nm, and a non-reactive solvent content of 0.01%-5.00% by mass.

摘要: Provided is a graphene-based aqueous coating suspension comprising multiple graphene sheets, particles of an anti-corrosive pigment or sacrificial metal, and a waterborne binder resin dissolved or dispersed in water, wherein the multiple graphene sheets contain single-layer or few-layer graphene sheets selected from a pristine graphene material having essentially zero % of non-carbon elements, or a non-pristine graphene material having 0.001% to 47% by weight of non-carbon elements wherein the non-pristine graphene is selected from graphene oxide, reduced graphene oxide, graphene fluoride, graphene chloride, graphene bromide, graphene iodide, hydrogenated graphene, nitrogenated graphene, doped graphene, chemically functionalized graphene, or a combination thereof and wherein the coating suspension does not contain a silicate binder or microspheres dispersed therein. Also provided is an object or structure coated at least in part with such a coating.

摘要: Disclosed herein are laser activatable compositions. One composition may comprise: about 35% to about 75% by weight of at least one polyamide resin, preferably a 9,T resin; about 0.1% to about 20% by weight of a laser direct structuring additive; the laser activatable additive being operative to plate the composition upon being activated by a laser; about 0.5% to 20% by weight of a phosphorus-containing additive, preferably an organo phosphinate salt; and about 10% to 50% by weight of a reinforcing fiber, preferably a glass fiber having a substantially circular cross-section, the substantially circular cross-section having a diameter of 10 microns or less; where all weight percents are based on the total weight of the composition. Further embodiments provide compositions further comprising one or more organic, metallic, or mineral fillers, pigments, or combinations thereof. Also disclosed are methods of preparing these compositions and articles produced therefrom.
