    摘要: A microcomputer within a duplex RF transceiver operates in an interrupt-driven manner to simultaneously encode and decode CTCSS signalling (with one microcomputer interrupt service routine being devoted to CTCSS encode, and another microcomputer interrupt service routine being devoted to CTCSS decode). Such encoding and decoding of CTCSS signalling is accomplished using minimal external control hardware (e.g., two flip flops and an inexpensive conventional multipurpose counter/timer chip). The resulting arrangement is inexpensive, reliable and requires only a few components in addition to the appropriately programmed microcomputer in order to provide simultaneous encoding and decoding of CTCSS signals in a full duplex RF transceiver context.

    摘要: A radio frequency (RF) base station transmitter receiver (transceiver) system includes an audio compression arrangement that compresses a sum of multiple audio signals so that all signals within the sum are equalized to a substantially uniform audio output level despite differences in their input levels. Compression thresholds can be adjusted from a remote location. The RF base station provides audio signal compression using digital signal processing (DSP) techniques such that advanced features (e.g., noise blanking and hard limiting) and flexibility are built into the system. Line audio inputs from several sources are filtered, converted to digital signals, and processed by a digital signal processor (DSP). This DSP provides an audio compression function that selects and applies appropriate gains to the digitized audio signal. The compressed signal is converted to analog form, filtered and routed to a variety of destination such as a RF transmitter modulator or a land line.

    摘要: A virtual shuffleboard table gaming apparatus including a housing having a playing field, a game acquisition circuit, and a display. As a puck is propelled towards a puck return at the distal end of the playing field, the puck temporarily obstructs at least two beams from transmitters. Sensors that receive the transmitted beams provide information to the game acquisition circuit indicative of the time when the beams were blocked and unblocked. The duration of time the beams are block are used by a game controller to calculate the angle of travel, location, and velocity of the puck. This information is then used by the game controller to determine the travel path and resting place of a virtual puck on a virtual playing field, as well as determine whether the virtual puck rests in a scoring zone and maintain a game score.

Such a low-temperature ALD film generally can be deposited without damaging the packaged chip device. The ALD film is typically deposited at a sufficient thickness to provide desired qualities (e.g., hermeticity for the entire packaged chip device, passivation for the electrical contacts, biocompatibility, etc.) but still allow for electrical connections to be made to the electrical contacts (e.g., by soldering or otherwise) directly through the ALD film without having to expose the electrical contacts.
