摘要: An aftertreatment system comprises: a housing, a SCR system disposed in the housing. A mixer is disposed upstream of the SCR system and includes: a hub, a tubular member disposed circumferentially around the hub and defining a reductant entry port, and plurality of vanes extending from the hub to the tubular member such that openings are defined between adjacent vanes. The plurality of vanes swirl the exhaust gas in a circumferential direction. A reductant injector is disposed on the housing upstream of the SCR system along a transverse axis and configured to insert a reductant into the exhaust gas flowing through the housing through the reductant entry port. The reductant is inserted at a non-zero angle with respect to the transverse axis opposite the circumferential direction to achieve virtual interception. A mixer central axis is radially offset with respect to a housing central axis of the housing.

摘要: An aftertreatment system configured to reduce constituents of an exhaust gas produced by an engine comprises an aftertreatment component and an optical assembly. The optical assembly comprises an optical emitter configured to emit light onto a face of the aftertreatment component, and an optical detector configured to detect light reflected from the face of the aftertreatment component. A controller is configured to determine at least one of an amount of NOx gases or an amount of ammonia on the face of the aftertreatment component based on an optical parameter of the detected light that has reflected from the face of the aftertreatment component.

摘要: A multi-stage mixer includes a multi-stage mixer inlet, a multi-stage mixer outlet, a first flow device, and a second flow device. The multi-stage mixer inlet is configured to receive exhaust gas. The multi-stage mixer outlet is configured to provide the exhaust gas to a catalyst. The first flow device is configured to receive the exhaust gas from the multi-stage mixer inlet and to receive reductant such that the reductant is partially mixed with the exhaust gas within the first flow device. The first flow device includes a plurality of main vanes and a plurality of main vane apertures. The plurality of main vane apertures is interspaced between the plurality of main vanes. The plurality of main vane apertures is configured to receive the exhaust gas and to cooperate with the plurality of main vanes to provide the exhaust gas from the first flow device with a swirl flow.

摘要: A sensing assembly comprises a sensor housing having a sensing end and a coupling end opposite the sensing end. A sensing element and a heating element are disposed within the sensor housing. A tip cover and coupling end cover removably coupled to the ends of the sensor housing. The tip cover and coupling end cover are configured to be uncoupled from the sensor housing to enable removal of at least one of the sensing element, the heating element, or an integrated sensing/heating element from the sensor housing, and replacement with at least one of a new sensing element or a new heating element, the tip cover and coupling end cover configured to be recoupled to the sensor housing after at least one of the new sensing element or the new heating element is disposed in the sensor housing.

摘要: An exhaust gas aftertreatment system includes a first sensor configured to measure a parameter and a second sensor disposed proximate the first sensor and configured to measure the parameter. The system includes a controller configured to initially utilize the first sensor as a primary sensor. At target intervals, the controller is configured to receive a first sensor value from the first sensor and receive a second sensor value from the second sensor. The controller is configured to calculate a difference between the first sensor value and the second sensor value and determine if the difference between the first sensor value and the second sensor value is greater than a threshold value. If the difference between the first and second sensor values is greater than the threshold value, the controller is configured to stop utilizing the first sensor as the primary sensor and utilize the second sensor as the primary sensor.

摘要: A method for increasing a catalytic efficiency of a catalyst, comprising providing a catalyst. Finally, the catalyst is installed into a selective catalytic reduction system of an aftertreatment system configured to reduce constituents of an exhaust gas generated by an engine. The catalyst is soaked in a liquid which consists essentially of one of water or a water-comprising solution. The soaking occurs at least one of before or after installing the catalyst in the selective catalytic reduction system. The catalyst can include a copper zeolite catalyst.
