Abstract: A high-pressure pump includes a pressurizing chamber forming portion, a suction passage forming portion, a seat member, a valve member, a cylindrical member, a needle, a movable core, a biasing member, a fixed core, and a coil including a winding portion. The coil generates an attractive force between the fixed core and the movable core when the winding portion is energized. The coil includes an outer cylindrical surface and multiple inner cylindrical surfaces that have different diameters. The multiple inner cylindrical surfaces are arranged in order of increasing diameter in a direction toward a pressurizing chamber. The movable core has an end surface that faces the fixed core, and the end surface of the movable core is located between a center, in an axial direction, of a smallest diameter one of the plurality of inner cylindrical surfaces and a center, in an axial direction, of the outer cylindrical surface.

Abstract: A relief valve, capable of reducing pressure of fuel in a discharge passage and including a valve housing having a communication hole and a valve member provided in a reciprocating manner against the valve housing, where the valve member regulates a flow of the fuel between a discharge passage and a fuel chamber when the valve member is brought into contact with an inner wall formed around the communication hole. T the valve member also allows the flow of the fuel between the discharge passage and the fuel chamber when the valve member is separated from the inner wall. The relief valve further including a spring that biases the valve member such that the valve member and the inner wall are in contact with each other an adjusting pipe and a stopper.

Abstract: A high pressure pump includes a pressurization portion, a discharge portion, a body portion, a valve member, an urging member, valve hold member and a limiting portion. The body portion includes a relief passage, an inlet, a valve seat, and an outlet. The valve member includes a large diameter portion and a small diameter portion. The small diameter portion is located between the valve seat and the large diameter portion and has an outer diameter smaller than an outer diameter of the large diameter portion. The valve hold member surrounding and holding the large diameter portion. The limiting portion capable of limiting a motion of the valve hold member in a separation direction. According to this, a pressure in a fuel rail from extraordinarily increasing again after the relief valve is opened once.

Abstract: A high-pressure pump is configured to pressurize fuel. The high-pressure pump includes a relief valve device that is placed in a relief passage, which has one end part connected to a discharge passage in a housing while another end part of the relief passage is configured to be communicated with a suction passage in the housing. The discharge passage is configured to conduct the fuel, which is pressurized in and discharged from a pressurizing chamber. Abstract: A high-pressure pump includes a pressurizing chamber forming portion including a cylindrical inner peripheral wall that defines a pressurizing chamber, a plunger, a housing including a housing outer peripheral wall, a valve member, an electromagnetic driving unit, a discharge passage portion, and a fixed portion that is connected to the housing. The fixed portion has multiple bolt holes. The multiple bolt holes are arranged radially outward of the housing outer peripheral wall in a circumferential direction when viewed along a direction of an axis of the cylindrical inner peripheral wall. The high-pressure pump is virtually divided into a first region and a second region by a virtual surface on which axes of adjacent ones of the multiple bolt holes and an axis of the cylindrical inner peripheral wall extend. Both the electromagnetic driving unit and the discharge passage portion are located in the first region or the second region.

Abstract: A housing-includes a pressurizing chamber. A plunger is moved to increase and decrease a volume of the pressurizing chamber, so that the plunger can pressurize the fuel in the pressurizing chamber. A fuel chamber forming portion is placed on a radially outer side of the plunger and forms a fuel chamber that is communicated with the pressurizing chamber. A pulsation damper is placed in an inside of the fuel chamber and is operable to reduce pressure pulsation of the fuel in the fuel chamber. Fixable portions are placed on a radially outer side of the plunger while each of the fixable portions includes a receiving through-hole. The fixable portions are fixed to an engine with bolts, which are provided to correspond with the receiving through-holes, respectively. The fuel chamber forming portion is displaced from axes of the receiving through-holes.

Abstract: A valve seat has an inner passage and outer passages. A suction valve member has first passages and a first projection portion that guides, to the first passages, the fuel that flows from a pressure chamber at the time of valve opening. Therefore, an action force by the dynamic pressure applied to the suction valve member in the valve closing direction is reduced. An action force by the pressure of fuel that flows into pressure equalization grooves counterbalances the action force by the dynamic pressure of the suction valve member. Therefore, self-closing by the dynamic pressure can be inhibited, and the maximum output of an electromagnetic driving unit can be reduced. Fuel flow through a passage radially outside the suction valve member and the firs passages. A fluid passage area is securable even when a lift amount of the suction valve member is small.
