Abstract: Disclosed herein is a film comprising a polymer blend, the polymer blend comprising a first polyolefin elastomer having a weight average molecular weight of 120,000 to 350,000 grams per mole; and a second polyolefin elastomer having a weight average molecular weight of 15,000 to 75,000 grams per mole; wherein the overall melt index of the polymer blend is less than 8 g/10 minutes when measured as per ASTM D1238 at 2.16 kilograms at 190° C. Disclosed herein too is a method of manufacturing a film comprising blending a first polyolefin elastomer having a weight average molecular weight of 120,000 to 350,000 grams per mole; and a second polyolefin elastomer having a weight average molecular weight of 15,000 to 75,000 grams per mole to form a polymer blend; wherein the overall melt index of the polymer blend is less than 8 g/10 minutes when measured as per ASTM D1238 at 2.16 kilograms at 190° C.; and forming the polymer blend into a film.

Abstract: A stretch-modified elastomeric multilayer film comprising a core layer comprising a first propylene/alpha-olefin copolymer, wherein the first propylene/alpha-olefin copolymer comprises at least 50 wt. % propylene, has a melt flow rate (230C/2.16 Kg) from 0.1 g/10 min to 35 g/10 min, and has a crystallinity in the range of from at least 1 percent by weight to 40 percent by weight, and at least one outer layer independently comprising a second propylene/alpha-olefin copolymer and from 2.5 to 30 wt. % of an antiblock agent, wherein the second propylene/alpha-olefin copolymer comprises at least 50 wt. % propylene, has a melt flow rate (230C/2.16 Kg) from 0.1 g/10 min to 35 g/10 min, and has a crystallinity in the range of from at least 1 percent by weight to 40 percent by weight, wherein the crystallinity of the first propylene/alpha-olefin copolymer is equal to or greater than the crystallinity of the second propylene/alpha-olefin copolymer.

Abstract: The present disclosure is directed to a fiber that is composed of a polymeric blend including (i) 95 wt % to 99 wt % of a high density ethylene-based polymer having a Mw/Mn from 2.0 to 3.0 and (ii) from 5 wt % to 1 wt % of a low density ethylene-based polymer having a melt index from 5 g/10 min to 15 g/10 min. The fiber has a density from 1 denier to 2 denier and a 3% secant modulus from 8.5 g/denier to 20 g/denier.
