摘要: Various operations may be performed based on a distance-related function associated with two or more devices. For example, an association procedure for two or more devices may be based on one or more determined distances. Similarly, presence management may be based on one or more determined distances. A distance-related function may take various form including, for example, a distance between devices, two or more distances between devices, a rate of change in a relative distance between devices, relative acceleration between devices, or some combination of two or more of the these distance-related functions.

摘要: Deformation of mobile soft tissue is detected and represented in a three-dimensional medical image based on radiographically-detectable markers that are implanted in the tissue. Locations of the markers are co-registered with locations within the tissue. Sensed changes in relative locations of the markers are used to calculate relative changes in locations within the tissue due to deformation. The changes are used to calculate coordinated multi-voxel manipulations, such that a real-time volumetric medical imaging dataset is developed. By co-registering the operating room coordinate system and the volumetric medical imaging coordinate system, depth-3-dimensional augmented reality viewing of this real-time volumetric medical imaging dataset can be achieved, thereby improving the surgeon's understanding of underlying surgical anatomy and ultimately improving surgical outcomes.

摘要: A method for controlling operation of a CPAP apparatus. The apparatus has a blower, a patient interface, an air delivery conduit for delivering air from the blower to the patient interface, a sensor for determining the pressure in the patient interface, and a control mechanism that causes air to be delivered at a desired pressure to the patient interface and that detects transitions between inhalation and exhalation of a respiratory cycle of a patient in order to synchronise the blower output with the patient's efforts. In one form the CPAP apparatus provides pressure in accordance with a bi-level waveform with at least one characterizing parameter of the waveform being automatically adjusted in accordance with indications of sleep disordered breathing. The indications of sleep disordered breathing can be one or more of snoring, apnea, hypopnea, and flow limitation.

摘要: A method for controlling operation of a CPAP apparatus. The apparatus has a blower (2), a patient interface (6), an air delivery conduit (8) for delivering air from the blower (2) to the patient interface (6), a sensor (4p) for determining the pressure in the patient interface (6), and a control mechanism (15) that causes air to be delivered at a desired pressure to the patient interface (6) and that detects transitions between inhalation and exhalation of a respiratory cycle of a patient in order to synchronise the blower output with the patient's efforts. In one form the CPAP apparatus provides pressure in accordance with a bi-level waveform with at least one characterising parameter of the waveform being automatically adjusted in accordance with indications of sleep disordered breathing. The indications of sleep disordered breathing can be one or more of snoring, apnea, hypopnea, and flow limitation.

摘要: Pointers are added to a 3D volumetric dataset to help the user visualize the direction of blood flow. A 3D volume containing at least one blood vessel is created. Next, the direction of the blood flow is determined. Next, at least pointer is placed into the 3D volume in an aligned fashion with the direction of blood flow such that the 3D volume is modified. Next, the modified 3D volume is displayed on a head display unit, such as an augmented reality or virtual reality display. Next, at least one pointer is advanced to a new position for additional modification of the 3D imaging volume.
