    摘要: A network services complex having an audio conference bridge, a data conference bridge, a tone receiver and a data store announcement system is disclosed. The complex is connected to a telephone network via a host toll switching center. Customers dialing over the network using a keyset can selectively establish audio-only, data-only and combined audio/data conferences. Announcements from the data store prompt the customer in the use of the arrangement and request the user to reenter information when the customer makes an error. Should the customer make too many errors, an operator is summoned.

    摘要: A clock synchronization unit for controlling frequency and phase of a local clock and synchronism with an external clock signal, employs a programmable controller as a part of a phase-locked loop. The controller provides highly accurate control of the clock, including verification of the accuracy of the clock control signal before applying it to the clock oscillator as well as control of the magnitude to the clock oscillator to avoid rapid changes in frequency. In one particular embodiment, the programmable controller comprises duplicated microprocessors which perform operations in step. In a master/slave oscillator arrangement, the controller controls the slave clock oscillator as well as the master to assure tracking of the slave to the master.

    摘要: A digital multifrequency (MF) receiver for use in telephone switching systems is disclosed. Input MF signals in a PCM (pulse code modulation) format are detected by simultaneously computing the convolution of the digital input signal with discrete portions of the impulse response of a narrow bandpass filter. The convolution functions are performed by multiplication or log addition circuitry with adder and accumulator apparatus. A 10-millisecond PCM sample comprising 80 discrete samples of an input signal is simultaneously applied to four convolution circuits, each of which applies a different portion of the impulse response of a bandpass filter, also comprising 80 samples, to the input signal as it is received. The complete impulse response signals are applied to the convolution circuits but out-of-phase with impulse response signals as applied to the remainder of the convolution circuits. When four such circuits are used, a quadrature is established and the amplitude of the desired signal is computed at 2.5 millisecond intervals by computing the square root of the sum of the squares of adjacent convolution circuits.

    摘要: A power transfer system for imparting power to at least one functional element, such as a movable glass-containing functional element, such as a sliding glass door. The power transfer system preferably includes a magnetic induction power transfer mechanism with a power transfer circuit having first and second separated coils, and a resonant circuit power driver having a resonant frequency. The power transfer mechanism is designed to apply power to the functional element and/or to other devices or systems connected to it. The power transfer system may include an electronic feedback mechanism with an electronic feedback circuit for sensing a predetermined condition concerning the functional element. To take one example, the electronic feedback circuit may be used to provide safety door detection feedback by sensing the position of a movable glass portion of sliding glass doors, and by relaying a feedback signal, which may be carried by a light wave, to the power transfer mechanism if the movable glass portion of the doors is determined to be in a closed position. A data link may be used to communicate information between the power transfer circuit and the functional element.

    摘要: A method and apparatus for controlling telecommunications call processing is disclosed. In a switching system, a Master Controller is provided for maintaining the database of the system, and for receiving call processing control messages. The Master Controller receives these messages via a core switching fabric network of the switching system. The Master Controller selects one of a plurality of feature processors, the feature processors being of several types for processing different features, to process the received call processing message. The Master Controller, if necessary, transmits not only the call processing message, but also state information about the call to the selected feature processor. The feature processor processes the message, and returns call state update data to the Master Controller. The feature processor also transmits messages for controlling other units in order to implement the desired response to the received call processing message. Advantageously, the centralized Master Controller allows a plurality of different types of feature processors to be used, and maintains a record of which feature processors are performing properly so that call control messages are only sent to working feature processors. Advantageously, a single database (duplicated for reliability), is maintained for a plurality of different types of feature processors.
