    摘要: Method to delete and reintroduce individual yarns as needed when they are being fed to a textile process by cutting an individual yarn, that is being forwarded to the process, rapidly to prevent producing a disruptive tension change in the process or in other yarns being forwarded to the process to produce an upstream cut end of an individual yarn; holding the upstream cut end of said individual yarn in an elongated condition at a ready position for reintroducing to the process; and reintroducing said yarn at said ready position to the textile process according to the following steps; metering said individual yarn from said source at a controlled rate; passing said cut end of yarn with a first individual yarn forwarding jet for forwarding said cut end from said ready position and maintaining said cut end of yarn in an elongated condition during said metering; directing said elongated, cut end of yarn in a path past an individual yarn cutter; passing for forwarding said elongated cut end of yarn from said cutter and along an individual yarn path, and maintaining said cut end of yarn in an elongated condition during said passing; and converging said elongated, cut end of yarn with a plurality of individual yarn paths for said plurality of yarns for forwarding said yarn to said textile process.

    摘要: A system for bonding alternate S and Z twist plied yarn. The system bonds the plied yarns as they move in a path through the process and permits balanced expansion of the yarn while preventing lateral movement out of the path. The bonding of the yarn strands while plied together, forms a bond characterized by a dense region of filaments adhesively joined together where one of the strands overlaps another strand, followed by a less dense region along the one strand where fewer filaments are adhesively joined, followed by another dense region.

    摘要: Magnetic printing apparatus for forming on a substrate a colored print of an original colored design, said apparatus comprising a ferromagnetic printing means which is imposed on an electrically conductive support; means for forming on the ferromagnetic printing means a magnetic image of a photocolor-separated film positive of the original colored design; means for developing the magnetic image on the ferromagnetic printing means with a toner comprising a ferromagnetic component, a dye and a resin; means for transferring the developed image to the substrate, and means for neutralizing static electricity on said toner. Optionally, the apparatus may include: means for transferring the developed image from one substrate to another; means for fixing said dye on and/or in an ultimate substrate; and/or means for removing said ferromagnetic component and said resin.

    摘要: A process for reproducing graphic information wherein a magnetic image is formed in a premagnetized layer of acicular chromium dioxide by heating the chromium dioxide selectively to above its Curie point. Uncharged ferromagnetic toner particles are then applied uniformly to the chromium dioxide layer, but adhere only in the magnetized areas. The toner particles are then transferred electrostatically to a substrate.
