Abstract:
A method and apparatus for providing a channel-associated optional service. The method for providing a channel-associated optional service includes transmitting, in response to a service request from a user terminal, the service request to a broadcast receiving device that is mapped with the user terminal using an identifier mapping table; receiving channel information of a currently received program from the broadcast receiving device that has received the service request, and searching for program information of a relevant channel using the received channel information; searching for optional service information related to a program scheduled to be currently broadcast using the found program information; and providing the found optional service information to the user terminal.
Abstract:
A transcoding server is provided, and the transcoding server includes a receiving unit configured to receive image data and additional information via a communication network; an additional middleware configured to process the received additional information; a decoding unit configured to decode the received image data; an overlay-mixer configured to generate integrated image data by overlaying the decoded image data with the processed additional information; an encoding unit configured to encode the generated integrated data image; and a transmitting unit configured to transmit the encoded integrated image data to one or more terminals.
Abstract:
The present disclosure relates to an advertisement effect analysis apparatus and an advertisement effect analysis method. Specifically, the advertisement effect analysis method collects an advertisement viewing history of a user, determines a display state of an advertisement displayed to a user and a user response, and analyzes an effect of the advertisement displayed to the user based on a determination result.
Abstract:
A method and apparatus for an adaptive Hypertext Transfer Protocol (HTTP) streaming service using metadata of content are provided. The metadata may include one or more BaseURL elements. Uniform Resource Locators (URLs) of segments forming media may be generated based on the BaseURL elements. Additionally, a URL of a segment may be generated by mapping a BaseURL element among the BaseURL elements to a sourceURL attribute of the segment. Segments indicated by generated URLs may be identical to each other.
Abstract:
A multi-camera control apparatus and method to maintain a location and a size of an object in a continuous viewpoint switching service are provided. The multi-camera control method of controlling a main camera configured to capture a moving object of interest and controlling at least one sub-camera configured to capture the object of interest at a different viewpoint from that of the main camera, may include extracting the object of interest from a first image generated by the main camera, controlling a capturing scheme of the main camera based on a change in a location and a size of the extracted object of interest, projecting the object of interest onto a second image generated by the sub-camera, and controlling a capturing scheme of the sub-camera based on a change in a location and a size of the projected object of interest.
Abstract:
A method and apparatus for an adaptive Hypertext Transfer Protocol (HTTP) streaming service using metadata of content are provided. The metadata may include a minBufferTime attribute indicating a minimum amount of initially buffered media content. A terminal may receive content from a server before playback of the content, and may buffer the content by at least the minimum amount. The metadata may include a range attribute that designates a range of a target indicated by a Uniform Resource Locator (URL). The terminal may receive bytes designated by the range attribute from the URL, and may play back the content using the received bytes.
Abstract:
A digital signage system including a web-based digital signage platform that includes a controller configured to, in response to an event that an advertising content item stops to be played in a digital signage terminal due to an interactive content item requested to be played, allow a non-played part of the advertising content item to be played when the interactive content item is completely played. Accordingly, an advertisement exposure time is ensured.
Abstract:
In a wireless communication system where a terminal and a base station communicate with each other using a frame including at least one downlink sub-frame and at least one uplink sub-frame, the terminal and the base station calculate the number of hybrid automatic repeat request (HARQ) feedback regions of the downlink sub-frames and the uplink sub-frames in accordance with a third value corresponding to an absolute value of subtraction between a first value corresponding to the number of downlink sub-frames of the frame and a second value corresponding to the number of uplink sub-frames of the frame or the sum of the first value and the second value and configure HARQ feedback regions in the downlink sub-frames and the uplink sub-frames.
Abstract:
A transmitter for estimating a variable frame structure using preamble signals is provided, and the transmitter includes a subcarrier location modulator configured to modulate locations of subcarriers into predetermined locations based on information about a variable frame structure in an attempt to transmit preamble signals; and an Inverse Fast Fourier Transform (IFFT) unit configured to perform IFFT on the preambles carried on the subcarriers of which locations are modulated and wirelessly transmit the preamble signals on which IFFT has been performed.
Abstract:
A network cooperation-based low power type charged broadcasting set-top box and a controlling method therefor, the set-top box sub-dividing a standby mode of the set-top box into an active standby mode, in which only background functions are processed without processing a main function, and a passive standby mode, in which no functions are processed; extending the passive standby mode occupation time to more than that of the active standby mode; and including a way of transitioning between operating modes by exchanging information regarding the set-top box through an inter-cooperation between a charged broadcasting network and the set-top box, thereby reducing the power consumption of a processor (SoC) which processes multimedia contents and minimizing the power consumption while the set-top box is in standby mode.
