Abstract: A telematics controller is connected to a first modem to communicate over a wide-area network. An autonomous vehicle controller is connected to a second modem to communicate over the network, and is programmed to send autonomous vehicle commands determined using autonomous vehicle data to control the vehicle. A scheduler controller is programmed to direct the telematics controller and autonomous vehicle controller to offload autonomous vehicle data over the network using the first and second modems.

Abstract: A toll advertisement message (TAM) broadcast from a roadside unit of a roadway is received. The TAM may include a public key of a toll charger cloud. Responsive to receipt of the TAM, a tolling usage message (TUM) is sent. The TUM may include information encrypted with a public key of a toll service provider, information encrypted with the public key of the toll charger cloud, and a public key of the telematics control unit. Responsive to broadcast of the TUM, a toll usage message acknowledgement (TUM-ACK message. A toll receipt message (TRM) is also received. The TRM is encrypted with the public key of the telematics control unit. The TRM is decrypted using a private key of the telematics control unit corresponding to the public key of the telematics control unit.

Abstract: A telematics control unit (TCU) receives a short message service (SMS) message from a phone number of a mobile device and identifies an updated network address of the mobile device from the message. The TCU sends the updated network address of the mobile device to a packet data network (PDN) server configured to route data traffic between the network address of the mobile device and the vehicle. The PDN server communicates over a data network with a telematics control unit (TCU) of a vehicle and maintains a list of identification numbers of mobile devices and corresponding network addresses of the mobile devices for the TCU. The PDN server receives an updated network address associated with an identification number of a mobile device from the TCU; and updates the list with the updated network address of the mobile device.
