摘要: Optical shutter (50), e.g. fort-stereoscopic shutter glasses, is disclosed. The optical shutter includes a light source, e.g. LCD, CRT or plasma display, that emits polarized light (12) that has a first polarization state, a first polymeric substrate (100) that receives the polarized light and transmits the polarized light without substantially changing the first polarization state of the polarized light, a second polymeric substrate (107) that faces the first polymeric substrate, and an optical stack (60) that is disposed between the first and second polymeric substrates. The optical stack includes first and second electrically conductive layers (101, 102), first and second oriented chromonics alignment layer (103, 106), and an oriented liquid crystal layer (105).

摘要: Efficient search window storage schemes for motion estimation in video signal processing are disclosed. According to one embodiment, motion estimation is carried out as follows: allocating a ring buffer to store at least critical number of macro-blocks of luminance data from a reference frame on the motion estimator, establishing a rule to relate each storage unit of the ring buffer with each of the macro-blocks of the reference frame, initializing the ring buffer by reading in one less than the critical number of macro-blocks from the reference frame, when the macro-block is located next to a border of the reference frame, generating one or more added border macro-blocks and storing into the corresponding position of the ring buffer in accordance with the rule, constructing the search window from the macro-blocks stored in the ring buffer, and conducting motion estimation of the current macro-block of the current frame with the search window.

摘要: A method for making colloidal nanocrystals includes the following steps: dissolving a nanocrystal powder in an organic solvent, and achieving a solution A of a concentration of 1-30 mg/ml; dissolving a surfactant in water, and achieving a solution B of a concentration of 0.002-0.05 mmol/ml; mixing the solution A and the solution B in a volume ratio of 1: (5-30), and achieving a mixture; stirring and emulsifying the mixture, until an emulsion C is achieved; removing the organic solvent from the emulsion C, and achieving a deposit; then washing the deposit with deionized water, and achieving colloidal nanocrystals. The present method for making colloidal nanocrystals is economical and timesaving, and has a low toxicity associated therewith. Thus, the method is suitable for industrial mass production. The colloidal nanocrystals made by the present method have a readily controllable size, a narrow size distribution, and good configuration.
